Total Python: You Can Master Python Programming in 16 Days (Udemy.com)

I originally thought this course would be exceptional. Unfortunately when I entered the coding on your site we are dealing with minutia. When I enter the code on my PyCharm everything works perfectly. When I enter it on your site even if one space is different it fails. Even when I entered the code as your evaluator expects, the code tests pass but when I run the code it fails. If I added a space at the end of the line as part of the input statement to help with the formatting, it fails the test. If I remove the space it passes. I guess I will have to do all of the coding exercises using my PyCharm installation instead of relying on your evaluator which I feel is giving me the wrong information if I have to continually try to figure out what it expects.

At the end of this course you will have a good understanding of how to develop programs in Python. It covers several domains of programming, which you will encounter. It covers basic and advanced topic. You will be able to use this as a diving board and deep dive into more advanced topic on your own later. As a more advanced developer, coming from other languages (e.g. Javascript) you will understand the differences and can abstract from there. This is not a super-deep-dive into all topics, but it will enable you to be productive. I found the delivery of the lessons, explanations, challenges and support very positive, fast and generally engaging. So I will definitely recommend this course.

I'm a little past halfway through this course at the time of writing. I love the course. I wanted to learn Python with a course that was not so complicated that I would never get through but on the other hand useful enough that I feel I have learned the language. This course is the best I have found so far in delivering that. I am able to follow along and also feel I am learning a lot about Python. The course is well explained and is well balanced between video explanation and examples as well as short practice sessions and pdf files that are concise but do a good job at providing a summary about what is learned. I found it best for me to look at the .pdf resources before each video for a summary that let me understand the video better. Then on practices at the end I try what I can and then look at the example solution to see how mine compares. Overall, this is a great course to learn the basics of Python with useful exercises to practice what I have learned. A++

I have tried to learn Python before, and each time I quit because I found it quite difficult to understand and eventually lost motivation. However, with Phil and Fede, the course surpassed my expectations! This course is an absolute gem for anyone interested in mastering Python programming. From the moment I enrolled until the final lesson, I was hooked and thoroughly engaged throughout the entire journey. First and foremost, the course structure and organization were exceptional. Each module was well-planned, building upon the previous concepts and gradually introducing more advanced topics. The progression was seamless, allowing me to grasp new ideas without feeling overwhelmed. The clear and concise explanations, combined with practical examples and exercises, enabled me to understand and apply Python concepts with ease. What truly sets this course apart is the outstanding instructor. Their expertise in Python was evident from the get-go, and their teaching style was simply superb. The instructor's passion for the subject was contagious, making every lesson enjoyable and motivating. They took the time to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner, making it accessible for beginners like myself. Their enthusiasm and dedication to helping students succeed were evident in every video and lecture. One aspect I found particularly beneficial was the interactive nature of the course. Regular quizzes and coding challenges throughout each module tested my understanding and helped reinforce the learned concepts. The integration of an online community and discussion forum was a brilliant addition, as it provided an opportunity to connect with fellow learners, ask questions, and seek guidance from both peers and instructors. If you had stopped this course at Day 10 I would give it *six* stars. The structure and pacing were outstanding, as well as the frequent code exercises. This exemplifies the teaching method "say it, show it, try it". Starting with Day 11, though, not only did it devolve into simply coding along with Fede, but it was as though you had forgotten half the things you taught in the first section. I gave up at Day 12. Earlier you talked about the DRY principle, but Fede was cutting and pasting code left and right in that example. Also, he was incrementing a counter while looping through the food/drink/dessert items when it would be more idiomatic to use the enumerate() method. Finally, each category (food, drink, dessert) consisted of multiple separate synchronized arrays (array of names, array of selected variables, array of boxes, array of counters) when these were crying out to be bundled into a class; then one could have a single array of class instances. I'm going to go off and find a separate tutorial on tkinter rather than choke my way through the remainder of the course.

This course was great. As an ecologist who has been using R for the past decade, I have tried multiple times to commit to learning python. This is the first time I was actually able to commit to learning it and becoming proficient. The only thing I could have used in this course is some explanation of the conda environments. I needed the conda environment because I don't have admin privileges on my work computer.

I think getting to an advanced level in Python in just 16 days is unrealistic, but this course brings you close to it. The structure of the course is one of the best I've seen in Udemy, and the teaching methods are excellent. Towards the end, lessons become shorter and less explanatory which can be justified as they only explain the basics of each instance in which Python can be useful. It's safe to say you won't become a professional on any of it but at least you'll grab the basics (which I believe is the point), i.e. You won't become a videogame developer or a website designer but at least you'll have the tools to know where to look for more education. However, even though the course is great and the lessons are excellent and entertaining, if you run into any trouble, don't expect any help. Even in the Q&A section of the course, as replies can take up to a week (if they do come).

The first 12 sections are excellent. For many years I have wondered what Python is good for. This course has finally given me the answer(s). I think I can find many practical uses for which Python is the best tool. Unfortunately, the last four sections were kind of boring because the lessons were basically watching the instructor type lines of code using a lot of libraries and functions that you're left wondering where the heck do those come from. At this point, I am not capable of creating a machine learning program on my own, for example. So overall, I am satisfied that I learned a lot of the primary Python language and techniques, which was the main reason for taking this course.

I truly appreciate you and your time spent in teaching us to learn PYTHON. Hello Leaners, I recommend everyone go through this course who are willing to learn Python from basics to expert level. The course initially starts with Python basics where you can learn almost all the basic concepts (1 to 6 days), here concept of every topic is taught very strongly in short time with practice exercise which is very important that we get practiced in concepts very much. Later from Days 7 to 9 starts with OOP concepts which takes our programming to next level. Everyday we have few topics, practice exercise and the python challenge. so we understand the concepts and then do coding exercise and the loop goes on, which makes us to get strong knowledge in all concepts. Then the we enter into python expert level from Day 10 to 16, where we learn Pygame, web-extractor, Tkinter concepts, Data scice concepts, Voice recognition, Facial Recognition and Web development. To conclude this course made us to learn the python from the basics, intermediate and to explore us how the python language used in various fields through real-world applications. In each of the real-world application topics they taught us how to develop a basic project and how to explore and learn more on those concepts. For example, in web development we have 3 hour session here. It covers all the basic concepts of Python-Django frame-work to create a website which helps us to explore and learn more on concepts in web development to create complex website, again it's up to us how we explore it. The content is more than enough, if you have time I request Federico Garay and Phil Ebiner to add a session on how the Python and django interacts with real-time databases either with SQL or Mongo DB.

This course and resources are great. Complete all modules and try all challenges. The main thing is just try and you will be fine. I had to go back a listen to some modules multiple times to ensure that I had a better understanding. Know that if you are using a different IDE, then there maybe some differences in code. For example, importing a file was a little different in VS Code vs. PyCharm but there's nothing that I couldn't Google to make it work. Overall, awesome course!! Also, you can complete the course in 16 days, if you have about 3-4 hours to commit each day. I don't have that type of time, so I committed to completing 1 -2 sections per week.
