Certainly recommend the course as a great place to lay foundations for entering into the world of comedy writing and performing. easy to digest information, wide and varied with good examples. Some of the courses suggested web links are no longer available, meaning the moderator may not be updating the content, however overall I really got a lot of information from doing this course.

Great so far, going into detail about joke writing. This a great course for reference and to keep me on track!
Lot's of value here! Lot's of value! Well done so far! Great step-by-step! Also, great for coming back to in the future.

The tip at the beginning is essential, I am writing everything down on my Notes on my Iphone, whilst doing the course, it is great going back to the course with each section, and making improvements and revisiting what I have written so far! Making me confident to keep on writing! It may be something to consider an assignment based course, where you answer questions on what you have learnt and perhaps a practical task. I think there should be a mentor that could look at what someone has written before starting on the open Mic network!

This was a good overview and sum up about what the stand up comedy is.
I believe that Philippe put a lot of work in this course. If had good structure, good flow, Philippe was presenting it very well and he has a very nice voice to listen to.
It gave some very good (even though for me sometimes obvious, but still good for confirmation) suggestions on what to do when performing. Most of the course for me was the confirmation of the things I already knew or was aware of.

However, I even though there were good general tips, I dont thing that course delivered in its promise to
Make an audience full of strangers laugh!
Learn how to effectively write funny jokes
Learn how to hold an audience's interest
For that probably a longer course and more specifics would be necessary (for example specific examples).
I also missed in a course some specific tips on how to write jokes = writing excercises, jokes writing editing, etc. That would have been very helpful.
There is a section about where to look for ideas, category of jokes, what makes things funny, but not really information on how to edit boring explanations on something to a funny joke.
So more information on that and writing excercise would be helpful.
Overal I think it was a well prepared course, very easy to understand and to watch. However, it definately needs more information about joke writing.
