Course Description
How Women Rise will enable women at all stages of their career reach new heights and aid them in their quest to advance. Leadership expert Sally Helgesen and bestselling leadership coach Marshall Goldsmith have trained thousands of high achievers—men and women—to reach even greater heights. Again and again, they see that women face specific and different roadblocks from men as they advance in the workplace. In fact, the very habits that helped women early in their careers can hinder them as they move up. Simply put, what got you here won’t get you there . . . and you might not even realize your blind spots until it’s too late.

Most of the content was good but was repetitive. Talked about the same things multiple times. I was also a bit put off about the first Hold your Space where it talks about a conference room and when it starts to get crowded, women will condense and make room for others while men continue to be spread out. I know it said not to emulate the men, but there should be a bigger push for men to emulate women. Or to be put another way, for everyone to have some awareness of those around and be helpful. Too often I feel like we are expected to change who we are and to act more like the men. The differences should be celebrated and understood more widely so that we can partner as a team, no matter how you identify.

The course, 'How Women Rise,' was a revelation, highlighting my oversight in self-promotion despite strong performance. It shifted my perspective, providing the clarity needed to identify and address my blind spots, and fostering a commitment to growth. Thank you, Marshall Goldsmith and Sally Helgesen, for a truly impactful experience

It was truly a wonderful course and an eye opener.I could resonate with many of the things said in the class and which I never thought could actually be the reasons that was preventing me from going up the corporate ladder. The things that I am going to change in myself is stop ruminating and market myself well...and oh yes leave them at the stream even if the heart wants to submerge them at the stream...

Wonderful - encompasses self help in the work place. Simple to follow. A few exercises/prompts to write down and work through lists would be a great addition. Thank you for uplifting the lives of those around you.

The content is useful, Section 5 particularly. However the quality of the content is marred by the sound quality and repetition. There were occasions where the sound moved (randomly) from left to right and listening on headphones actually made me a bit dizzy/nauseous. I know it's common to use a standard intro/outro however I found it annoying as I was binge watching.

Each subsection within each section starts with the same into about the book.
I'm watching the whole course - I know what book they're talking about!

Very pushy on the "book-sell'
By Nadja Soergel on 10/14/2020
Wasting time in the beginning of every chapter on the book intro is unnecessary. I would love for them also to go into a little more depth on some critical topics, i.e. body language
