Hard to understand, going too fast and the version of jdk he is downloading is not available on the oracle site, this is not addressed.

Video missing parts in proxy. Accent is kind of hard to understand

As a parent of a Minecraft addict, I was attracted to this course by its title. The course is very well structured, and the lecturer makes a good effort to keep things clear. Unfortunately, making Minecraft mods is not a simple task. Various programs need to be downloaded and installed, you need to run the command prompt and type things like "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse", and create environment variables in the Windows control panel.
I copied the lecturer step-by-step, fixed mistakes I made like installing the latest version of the Forge JDK instead of an older one (so as to be compatible with a program called Eclipse), but eventually gave up 32% into the course on Section 4, lecture 15, before I had even started writing my first mod. Why? Something to do with my working directory not existing. It was the last in a series of frustrations when all I wanted to do was write some code.
I suggest the lecturer include troubleshooting sections and review the steps that need to be completed for something to run properly. Otherwise, I can only recommend this course to people with prior development experience.

For my son, this part of the process was very boring for him to sit through. For myself, It was very informative and easy to follow. I think it would have been better to address the installs to be done before engaging the children.
