I'm rewriting this after completing the course! My reason for taking this course it to help build a foundation in digital logic design, which I'm hoping to apply to FPGA design. So I need a better foundation, which has been hard to get from books and online tutorials. My only suggestion for improvement is that the pace moves a little slow for me in the beginning, but does pick up towards the end. The early videos have a lot of pauses that are distracting. I can tell that you are thinking through things and have to pause to consider things, but for the student, that is distracting. The course did cover the content I was looking for pretty well. My only suggestion in regards to content would be to think through the explanations of the flip-flop and other circuits to try to present it more clearly. I know, it is nearly impossible to do. I am not complaining, just pointing out where I struggled and what I think can be improved. For me, I had to jump ship on the flip flops and go to a different course to work through them. I'm still not really clear exactly how they work but feel that once it clicks, they are actually pretty simple. Maybe adding a few hands on examples where you show some circuits working either on a breadboard or modelled in software, or something along that line, might help others like me that struggle a bit with getting our head around how the advanced circuits are working and how and where to incorporate them into our designs. Overall, I enjoyed the course and how you presented things. I appreciate you putting this together. For the advanced circuits you discussed, I think I'm going to build a few circuits on a breadboard, maybe build a few circuits using the flip-flop and the 3-bit counter, maybe set it up in a FPGA or in software, etc. to see if I can really absorb how they work. Since these are so fundamental for the rest of digital logic, I really want to understand them well. Best regards, Jon
