Course Description
This course covers some of the content required for the AB-410 "Intelligent Applications Builder Associate" certification exam. The AB-410 course lasts around 7 hours 30 minutes.
Please note: This course is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft.
This course also temporarily includes the PL-200 "Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant" Part 1 course However, as this exam will be retired on 31 August 2026, this will be removed from this course from 1 September.
What do people like you say about the previous version of this course (PL-100)?
James says: "Another awesome course from Philip. This course goes though all the major topics on the PL-100 exam in great detail and step-by-step, I followed along on my own trial tenant which I highly recommend. Take your time and go through it all!"
Will says: "This whole series has been fantastic; the best I have seen on this topic!"
Nikhil says: "Awesome course for PL100 Exam preparation. Updated: After completing the course I got the confidence to go ahead and attempt the exam. I m proud to announce that I passed on first attempt."
Stephen says: "I didn't even know what I didn't know until I took your course. You dragged me through topics I never knew I needed. The exposure helped me to guess correctly on the test (the second time). Your course was the most thorough coverage I could have received. Your coverage was so extensive, that I have to go back and review segments. ... Part of the time I tried to duplicate your magic. Again, Thanks 6 stars."
This course focuses on the various apps which make up the Power Platform, together with how they can be used by other programs, apps and services. It covers the requirements of Microsoft's AB-410 "Intelligent Applications Builder Associate" exam.
We'll get a free Developer edition and/or free trial of Power Apps Premium plan, and add some sample data into the Dataverse (previously known as the Common Data Service).
We’ll start with Dataverse tables and model-driven apps. We’ll create a model-driven app using data stored within tables in our Dataverse, and then expand it with custom forms, views, charts, dashboards, and Dataverse business rules.
We’ll then look at Power Automate flows. These can be used to manipulate data and run actions. We will create instant flows, which run when you need it, scheduled flows, which run on a timetable, and automated flows, which run based on events, such as when data changes in an external service.
We’ll continue with canvas apps. We will create an app from a blank, add screens and controls, and create reuseable components, variables, collections and more.
Finally, we'll then turn to the AI Hub. We'll look at how to create prompts, different AI models, and how to consume these models in apps and cloud flows. We'll also design solutions by using AI-enabled tools.
No prior knowledge is required - we'll even see how to get a free Power Platform trial!
Once you have completed this course, you will have a good knowledge of how to make Power Apps and Power Automate flows, together with prompts and AI models. With some practice, you could even take the official Microsoft AB-410 exam, which gives you the "Intelligent Applications Builder Associate" certificate. This would look good on your CV, resume or LinkedIn.

Great PL-200 course! It provides a solid understanding of the Power Platform with clear explanations of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. The hands-on approach and practical use cases make it easy to apply concepts in real scenarios. A perfect resource for anyone preparing for the PL-200 exam or aiming to build functional business solutions.

Microphone volume and EQ was constantly changing, for example when new sections start, or when splices were made during the section. Mic went from louder, to quieter, back and forth. Distance from Mic was inconsistent as well. Sounded like this course was recorded in a spare room of the house, and sometimes he had to be quiet (because people were home) and other times he had the place to himself and could speak loudly. I found it very distracting. Very amateurish audio production.

This course helped me achieve the pl-100 certification before it expires end of June 2024. The instructor has a clear way of explaining. There are enough materials to practice for exams. The questions could be adjusted to approach the difficulty of Microsoft Exams. However these are great to solidify your foundation. The instructor goes into detail upfront on what to expect and how to prepare. This is a great source of information later to refresh on what you might have forgotten

Philips course deserves all 5 stars for the following reasons: 1. the course is really interesting and close to practice and exam requirements 2. I sent him several questions, he was extremely quick in answering One slight problem has to be mentioned, for which Philip is not responsible by any means: Microsoft keeps developing and modifying the applications, so it was sometimes a bit time-consuming to follow on a modified surface.

An awesome course, designed in such a way that the order of introducing topics is 1) really good, 2) makes sense and 3) Phillip's way of teaching helps understand things better not just theoretically, but practically. Following along in our environment and doing practice activities really adds to the value. Hoping to clear PL-100 soon. Cheers!

Hi, For the certification PL-100, I decided to prepare only by following this course and doing all the hands-on exercises included (as the ressources on Microsoft Learn take too much time to read through). I went through all the sections twice. And I passed the exam on the first attempt. The course gets updated regularly, that's nice too. Thank you :)

Material in this course is dated -- it covers items I don't have options for in the current version of Power Automate and the like. Often while taking the course I don't feel I have a foundation under me, i.e., and understanding of how the architecture works that all the pieces are residing in. I can imagine I can pass an exam of onesie questions, but if I needed to open up Power Automate and build a flow of any complexity using Business Logic or the like (though it may not be available in Power Apps anymore) I wouldn't be able to do it. The tutorials seem to pull half a dozen pieces out of thin, air and combine them to get to a final goal, while I haven't been given an idea what that final goal is. So often I am having to watch the end of the videos, then go back to watch the video again to understand the narrative. I think much of this is Microsoft's fault, as their typical "big-bag-of-stuff" architectural model is on full display here. But for an introductory course it is VERY necessary to provide foundation information, even if it is not specifically on the PL-100 exam. I feel like you're building a house in mid-air, and I don't see how I can industrialize what's being shown in these videos. I fear that is something PL-600 or PL-900 covers, and I'll need to redo these lower level units once I have that understanding.

Thanks Phillip for the wonderful course. It helped me to complete PL 100 certification along with some other website practice tests. Keeping certification aside, this course is designed in structured manner and can be understandable easily if we know some basic power platform technical terms. I learnt many new concepts which am not aware of.

Another awesome course from Philip. This course goes though all the major topics on the PL-100 exam in great detail and step-by-step, I followed along on my own trial tenant which I highly recommend. Take your time and go through it all! I also registered for the practice exams at MeasureUp and they were helpful except for the case study part of the exams which were different and much more difficult (especially in the allotted time they give you). I am hoping Philip does a PL-200 course as well at some point, or I may just try to shoot for it soon. Great Job Phil and THANK YOU!!

Awesome course for PL100 Exam preparation. Updated: After completing the course I got the confidence to go ahead and attempt the exam. I m proud to announce that I passed on first attempt. I scored 76% and 70% on practice test here. Although the original exam is different and tougher; the overall base knowledge gained through this course applies everywhere (exams & real life). This course is perfectly designed into sections, titles are apt so that one can review easily. Covers all subjects. Note: I do have prior 6-12mnths experience of creating apps and also went through few sections of Microsoft learning module and few youtube videos as well. Thanks Philip!
