Course Description

The Microsoft AB-731 certification is the new certification for recognizing opportunities and driving innovation using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure AI Services. Microsoft says that this certification demonstrates that you have the skills needed to plan for AI adoption and optimize business processes by earning the AI Transformation Leader certification.

In this course, we will look at all of the topics in the AB-731 certification.

Please note: This course is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft.

This course has been updated in line with the exam update as per 22 July 2026.

In this AB-731 exam preparation course:

  • We'll start by looking at Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat. We'll look at how to sign into Copilot, have conversations using effective prompts, identifying the benefits and capabilities of both Copilot and Copilot Chat.

  • We'll then move outside of Copilot Chat. We’ll identify the foundational concepts of generative AI, and identify the benefits and capabilities of Foundry Tools, including Azure Vision, Document Intelligence, Speech, AI Search, and Microsoft Foundry.

  • Finally, we'll identify an implementation and adoption strategy for Microsoft's AI apps and services. We'll align an AI strategy with Microsoft's 6 responsible AI policies, and plan for AI adoption across the organization.

No prior knowledge is required. This course completes with quizzes and practice tests, so you can be sure that you are learning.

Once you have completed this course, you will have an expanded knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agents. With some practice, you could even take the official Microsoft AB-731 exam, which gives you the "Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals" certificate. This would look good on your CV or resume.

This course is easy to follow and rich in content. I am hoping to write the AB 731 after which I am looking forward to dropping a second review.

By Kavitha on 7/2/2026

Excellent instruction with clear, well-explained lessons. The course focuses on helping learners truly understand the concepts in detail. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to build a strong conceptual understanding.

Of course, it really helped to understand the concepts, responsibilities that need to have when dealing with AI. Above all, it gave me good confidence to attend the course and get certified

By Amit Bansal on 6/26/2026

Absolutely fantastic course - the content, the extent of detail and the duration of the course was just perfect !! Thanks a lot !! I was able to get my AB-731 certification the same weekend I did this course

By Gaurav Kumar Agarwal on 4/26/2026

Highly recommended. Phillip's extensive knowledge and hands on experience beyond just the concepts is evident. The fow is nice and overall a great job done. I'm going to check out your other courses as well now. Quick Feedback - Content and clarity in the ML chapter. The governance principles (43 & 44) - It has got some theory stuff and if can be visualized on a slide, would be great!

By Mehmet Ziya Yucel on 4/24/2026

I am not particularly impressed in terms of exam readiness... A few more mock exams would be very helpful.

By Robert Dudas on 4/23/2026

I like the material this far. However I'm finding some departure from terms that are formally recognized taxonomy which raises some learn concerns for when its time to sit for the exam. Example the use of Directive vs. Imperative.

By Anonymized User on 4/13/2026

Very well articulated and covers all topics needed for AI Transformation leader, not only to get through the certification but also for deeper and wider understanding to become a AI leader

By Snow Fist on 2/19/2026

I took this course and passed the AB-731 the next day. The content around the major high-level concepts was aligned to the major areas covered in the exam.

By Nicholas Kuriger on 2/17/2026

I took Phillip Burton's courses on AB‑730 AI Business Professional and AB‑731 AI Transformation Leader in a weekend and it was enough to pass both. If you are looking to both learn about these topics and pass the MS exams you have come to the right place.
