Our take
Based on the ratings of 206 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
Sky Studio teaches a 2.7 hour overview of making short AI films. It starts with a script and storyboard, then moves through character images, video generation, voice, sound effects and a final edit in CapCut. There are 41 lectures in 8 sections, and about 2,100 students have enrolled. The pitch is a repeatable workflow rather than mastery of one program. Despite the bootcamp label, the length and the syllabus make it closer to a guided orientation for newcomers than a long training course.
Happy reviewers call the instructions clear and the structure sensible. Several single out the cheat sheet and the shared resources. One said it got an AI project started fast. The complaints are consistent, though. Some say it moves too fast, that too many tools appear to keep straight, and that the instructor often does things without explaining why. One low rating says it reads like an introduction to tools, not a course, and another found the long talks unnecessary. One reviewer wanted a full tour of the course's own workspace but saw demos in Flow, Lovart and other outside tools.
Ratings are solid: 133 of 206 reviewers gave five stars, and 11 gave one or two. The August 2026 update counts for something in a field where tools change quickly. One reviewer said tool subscriptions limited what they could try, so budget for that. We'd point curious beginners here as a first orientation, and send anyone after depth in a single tool somewhere else.
Pros
- Covers the whole chain: storyboard, characters, video, voice, sound and a CapCut edit
- Reviewers praise clear instructions, a handy cheat sheet and plenty of shared resources
- Updated in August 2026, which counts for fast-moving AI video tools
- Only 2.7 hours, so beginners get the fundamentals quickly
Cons
- Moves fast and names many tools, so reviewers struggle to remember which is for what
- One reviewer wanted the course's own workspace taught in depth, but demos use outside tools
- One low rating calls it an overview of tools, not a real course; another found the talks too long
Really found this interesting and insightful as a first step into the possibilities. Very clear instructions and great to have the cheat sheet, and I will certainly return to this and other tutorials by this instructor.
Pitched at complete beginners and needs no filmmaking background, but the quick pace can lose true newcomers.

Who it is for
The instructor says it suits
- Complete AIGC Beginners: You have never used AI video tools before. You are looking for a structured, step-by-step "Pathfinder" guide that takes you from Zero to Blockbuster without confusing technical jargon.
- Aspiring Filmmakers & Storytellers: You have a movie idea in your head (Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy) but lack the $50,000 budget for cameras, actors, and a crew. You want to become a "One-Person Studio."
- Freelancers & Creative Entrepreneurs: You want to monetize the AI boom by offering high-value services like Music Video Visualizers, Brand Spec Ads, or Stock Footage to clients on Upwork and Fiverr.
- Screenwriters & Authors: You have amazing scripts or novels but struggle to sell them. You want to turn your text into Visual Pitch Decks or "Sizzle Reels" to impress producers and publishers.
- Video Editors & Designers: You already know how to edit, but you want to integrate Generative AI into your workflow to create assets (B-Roll, SFX, Voiceovers) that simply cannot be filmed in real life.
- Content Creators looking to launch "Faceless" YouTube channels with original storytelling.
What you need before you start

Course Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Stop jumping between a dozen disconnected AI tools just to create one video.
This AI Filmmaking Bootcamp teaches you a complete, practical workflow for turning an idea into a polished cinematic AI video—from scripting and character design to video generation, sound, lip-sync, and final editing.
To make the learning process easier, the course also introduces a purpose-built, all-in-one AI creation workspace designed around this filmmaking workflow. It brings multiple leading image and video models together in one place, so you can spend less time switching platforms and more time practicing, experimenting, and completing projects.
You will still learn how the major AI models work, when to use each one, and how to combine them effectively. The difference is that you no longer need to manage a complicated stack of separate tools just to follow the course.
By the end of this course, you will learn how to:
**Plan Your Film**
Turn a simple idea into a screenplay, storyboard, visual style guide, and master shot list before generating any footage.
**Create Consistent Characters**
Use GPT Image 2 and Nano Banana to design characters, environments, costumes, and reference images that remain consistent across scenes and camera angles.
**Generate Cinematic AI Videos**
Create shots with Seedance and Veo 3, then use Higgsfield and other camera-control workflows to improve composition, movement, lighting, and visual storytelling.
**Direct Dialogue and Performance**
Create natural character dialogue, facial performance, voiceovers, and lip-sync using tools such as HeyGen and ElevenLabs.
**Build Immersive Sound**
Generate voices, cinematic sound effects, ambient audio, and original background music that make AI-generated scenes feel more believable.
**Edit the Final Film**
Bring your shots together in CapCut. Learn pacing, transitions, subtitles, sound mixing, color grading, and scene continuity so your final project feels like one complete film—not a collection of random AI clips.
**Apply Your Skills to Real Projects**
Use the same workflow to create short films, music videos, brand advertisements, social media content, AI animation, visualizers, and faceless YouTube videos.
This course is designed for filmmakers, content creators, marketers, YouTubers, and complete beginners. No previous filmmaking or AI experience is required.
By the end of the course, you will have a repeatable AI filmmaking workflow and the confidence to create complete cinematic videos with your own one-person studio.
Stop generating random clips. Start directing complete stories.

This course is an impressive beginner-friendly course that covers the complete AI filmmaking workflow, from story and character creation to prompting, video generation, audio, and editing. The lessons are practical, well-structured, and supported by useful resources, although the pace can feel fast and the number of AI tools may be overwhelming for some learners. Overall, it provides a solid foundation for creating cinematic AI videos.

This was an eye opener! I just went through the video very fast and really didn't have time to take notes, but now that I've gone through the whole thing, I will go back and take notes I can apply in my own projects; think you very much!

Great course! I like the detailed and quick answers that Sky offers to every question I’ve had. I wish he could maintain the course up to date, adding more video samples, e.g. making those videos that are in the demos. Hopefully you will have some time to do so
