AI for Web Designers (Udemy.com)

The course started off well where the instructor began with creating an effective website brief using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Otter transcriptor. Also the image generation section using Discord and MidJourney were interesting but unfortunately a large part of the course was composed of Photoshop AI that didn't work for me personally because I already knew a lot of these techniques from my background as an amateur photographer. This is perfectly fine as I think these techniques would be useful to someone who hasn't used Photoshop before but it would have been useful if this had been more clearly signposted in the course title and description.

I am really enjoying the course so far. The teacher gets a easy and calm way on delivering his knowledge.

Can you also provide written notes of the video some times its dificult to understand

The beginning is interesting, seeing the AI tools for note taking and generating documentation was valuable. So too is seeing how that can be fed into AI-assisted site creation. However, that's not applicable to most UX projects where we're spending time building improvements or feature adds to existing sites/apps rather than new client builds. The number of videos devoted to shifting things around in Hostinger or repeatedly touching up images in photoshop feels unnecessary when the intended audience are designers looking to integrate AI into their existing process. There's value here but it's also almost twice as long as it needs to be.

While it promises insights into AI-based web design, lengthy and vague lessons detract from its value. The course lacks effective content organization, with no slides or summaries, making it challenging to follow. The emphasis on watching the instructor work is often confusing, and there's a notable absence of a comprehensive knowledge recap. The section on Photoshop functions feels disproportionately extended. Despite purchasing the course at a discount, I believe it falls short of its original price.

Der Kurs war generell sehr gut, allerdings hätte ich mir für die jeweiligen Chapter jeweils eine Folio gewünscht, die darüber informiert, was man genau lernen wird. Und eine, die die Take-Home-Messages zusammenfasst. Auch könnte man hier die Zusammenhänge der Kurse (Aufbau Web Bakery) klarer veranschaulichen, was dem Lernen dienlich ist. Zudem würde ich mir wünschen, dass beim Überblick dabei steht, welche AI-Tools kostenpflichtig sind oder dass entsprechend auf die Tools verlinkt wird und auf anfallende Preise hingewiesen wird. Die Infos zu Photoshop sind für mich z.B. daher unnützlich, genauso wie zu Writesonic. Spannend war es dennoch allemal!
