Master Figma for Web Design & Freelancing: Learn UI/UX (Udemy.com)

An instructor that shares as much as he can, even the hard challenges, embarrassments, or bumps in the road to expect in this occupation. I've taken 2 of his courses already, and appreciate his style of cramming in as much information as he can, while remaining down-to-earth and practical, with a bit of humor (my favorite line went something like: "Are you ready to see a horrible design- that's going to make your face peel?")

His teaching is fantastic.. He explains everything in a way that's easy for anyone to understand.. I really appreciate how he takes the time to go over all the details, making sure you fully understand each concept before moving on.. What I like the most is that it feels like he shares everything he knows, and I'm picking up a ton of useful stuff.. Overall, I’m learning a lot from his sessions..

I recently completed the design fundamentals course, and it has been incredibly insightful. I appreciate Chris's thoughtful and thorough teaching. I like how he begins with an overview of the program and walks students through practice exercises where we can work out the details. Attempting to follow his design exactly is instructive, and then, trying some of our own ideas in line with his pattern furthers the learning experience. Outstanding as usual.

This course on Figma for beginners was good value for money! Chris provides clear and concise instructions and observations. My favourite parts were the ones on the case studies and the one on redesigning an e-commerce project. Also, it’s really nice that they promote a healthy competition among students and reward your creative efforts with a symbolic gift. That gives us a reference point and impulse to keep improving our designs.

I haven't finished all lectures yet but I would say the best Figma course so far that I've taken. Chris provides beginners with rules and recommendation which are extremely golden. I had hard time to go through different courses and when coming back to Figma page, I was wondering what I should be doing next, what type of font, grid etc I should use. Because, every little thing in design matters. So as long as I understand that there's a rule to follow, I feel being enlightened :-). Thank you Chris.

Great content packed full of info. Even so, the explanation is often out of sync with the changes on the artboard. It seems like the voice was recorded separately to the artboard recording. This tends to lead to confusion, and requires more frequent replays. If a tutor describes a function which is one or two seconds out of sync then the students will obviously get confused.

I love the course but sometimes I miss information. For example in the section about analytics, I don't know where to find them. I would also like to have more information about how to look at analytics. Chris also speaks about budget but I am not sure how to give a price indication to a client and what possibilities the budget includes in terms of design.

I very much enjoyed this course by Chris. Here's a list of pros and perhaps what I felt like that was missing for me. Pros: - Course moves a long at a good pace. No waffling which is great. If you know Figma you can skip the first section like I did. - I like the fact that you get to work on a e-commerce website because there are a lot of different elements covered in the design phase which will equip me going forward. - Great use of Figma tools such as Auto Layout/components - Nice to see the translation of the site into mobile. - Design project uses a modern aesthetic - Chris is both a designer and entrepreneur so great to see design decisions rationalised with business goals. What's missing: (albeit this could have made the course too long) - Would have liked to design the checkout page - Would have liked to have covered an additional mobile page - I would have liked one language to be used and not a mixture of English/Romanian All in all, I would definitely recommend this course as it's given me confidence in my web design skills and have learn't some really good tricks along the way. - thanks Chris!
