Course Description

Artificial Intelligence is no longer just for technologists. It is rapidly becoming a core workplace skill. From writing emails and reports to preparing presentations and analyzing information, AI tools are changing how professionals work every day. Whether you use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Co-Pilot, or another tool, this course has practical tips for you.

AI Fundamentals for the Workplace is a short, practical course (about 30 mins) designed to help business professionals understand what AI is and how to begin using it confidently at work. In about 30 minutes, you will learn the essential concepts behind artificial intelligence and see real examples of how AI tools can help you save time and improve productivity.

This course avoids technical jargon and focuses on what professionals actually need to know. You will learn how AI works at a high level, where it is already being used across industries, and how it can support common workplace tasks such as writing, summarizing information, brainstorming ideas, and organizing projects.

You will also practice one of the most important new skills in the modern workplace: prompting. Prompting is the ability to ask AI the right questions so you receive clearer, faster, and more useful responses. Along the way, you will learn how to avoid common mistakes, use AI responsibly, and think about AI as a partner that can help free up your time for the work that requires human judgment, creativity, and relationships.

By the end of this course, you will not only understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, you will have experimented with it yourself on real workplace tasks. The goal is simple: to give you the confidence and foundation you need to start using AI tools effectively as they continue to evolve.

The training session was excellent and highly informative. The lecturer demonstrated exceptional knowledge of the subject and presented the content in a clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand manner. The session was interactive, interesting, and kept the audience involved throughout. I particularly appreciated the practical insights and examples shared, which helped enhance my understanding of the topic. Overall, it was a very valuable learning experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the lecture. Thank you for delivering such an insightful and well-organized session.

simple and to the point. Not too much value as I am a Cursor user and I am developing self projects using Python, MCP Srvcs. and SDKs to create interaction with diff systems as a personal project (latest one, Racing telemetry readings basd on sensomatic and GPS readings.)

I really enjoyed this course. Diane Flynn is a great instructor. She explained everything and gave examples. She also informed the viewer of the good and bad qualities about using this tool along with instructing the viewer to be cautious. She also provided great resources

The speaker presents well and uses a lot of encouraging language to help break the listener of trepidation over the technology. The information is at an introductory level as the user should be expecting from the description. The platform's pushing for the assessments can leave a user expecting it to be an assessment regarding the specific area being studied and not a platform wide support tool.

Basic Course material presented well. The living room back drop was probably designed to feel "homey" but I found it odd.

I've been using AI for a couple of years, and even still, this course hit on some things I hadn't thought AI could help me with, while also diving into the basics. Those couple of things alone really will help streamline my day-to-day workflow, and help keep my information safe.

Excellent course. It provides a strong foundation in AI concepts using clear explanations and practical examples. The content is concise, relevant, and immediately applicable in the workplace. A great starting point for anyone looking to build AI fluency. Highly recommended.

My experience taking this course was very rewarding, and I felt it was a great match for me. Before this course, I understood a little about AI, but the instructor helped me see much more clearly how AI performs through the model, prompt, context, training data, and output. I really appreciated the way the instructor explained everything in a simple and relatable way, because it made the material feel less overwhelming and easier for me to connect with. This course matched my learning style well because it was clear, engaging, and practical. I finished the course feeling more confident in my understanding of AI and glad that I chose to take it.

The coach was engaging, and her tone was conversational. This kept me curious throughout all the sections. The sections of content were informative and provided good context, but were also concise. It felt easy to ingest and understand because they were broken out into smaller pieces.

By Pamela Rhodes on 6/13/2026

I really enjoyed the tone and pace you used, and I especially appreciated the emphasis on taking responsibility for your content. It felt thoughtful and grounding. I did notice, though, that it didn’t go very deeply into what makes a good prompt or where someone could get help improving their prompting skills. It also didn’t touch on creating images or the differences between the various GPT models, including tokens, limits, and the paid versus free options. Overall, though, it was a lovely and welcoming introduction.
