Really straightforward and easy to understand. The pacing was perfect. There are a few parts of the course that do need to be updated due to AWS Quicksight's most current UI. Also, for some reason, I really struggled to add the second data source in S3. I kept getting the following error message. I was able to get around it by uploading the file as a csv though: region: us-east-1 timestamp: 1738771516265 requestId: 1b9c12d7-4fc4-480c-81d5-3414df64a449 sourceErrorCode: MANIFEST_NO_FILES_FOUND sourceErrorMessage: Input Manifest course-stock does not contain any valid URIs

Basics are pretty well described and gives an overall understanding of a viz tool. A module for demonstrating couple of live running projects would be better covering topics like using AI, comparing YoY data, showing running total, YTD, QTD, MTD, configuring a calendar/date table or setting up multi date capabilities would be great. An example of doing advanced data modeling (e.g. using multiple facts with multiple dimensions) with relationship cardinality behavior would be excellent. I mean covering advance topics in a quick session will surely help in understanding or comparing this tool with Tableau or Power BI. However, well structured basic course and kudos for that. Thank you so much and looking forward for next course with advanced topics.

As someone with little QuickSight experience, I found the course content to be extremely well-structured, comprehensive, and easy to follow. The instructor's teaching style is engaging and informative. The video lectures are supplemented by practical examples and hands-on exercises, allowing students to apply their newly acquired knowledge immediately. This approach not only helped me retain the information but also boosted my confidence in using the basics of QuikSight.

This course helps me to understand the workflow of AWS QuickSight from data preparation, data visualization, and result sharing. Now I can create simple visuals on my own. The only downside is the QuickSight UI and functionality need to be updated to the latest version (2017 vs. 2022). Thank you.

As other reviews have mentioned, it is definitely time to update this course.
If you are taking this course for work, and already have a database that will connect to QuickSight, you may want to look for a different course. This one specifically focuses on SPICE and S3.
That said, the instructors are fantastic and are great at explaining how Quick Sight functions.

Step 37 on this course is missing a critical piece of information. When created a new S3 bucket you need to give QS permissions for the new bucket! this is not covered in this video at all. Very frustrating hour wasted. Please update the video with a prompt to update QS security when creating a new bucket
