This is the second course in a pair. Gabriel, the Broadway and TV voice coach behind GB Voice Academy, built it for people who finished his beginner accent course and want to move past single sounds into rhythm, linking and intonation. The syllabus runs 40 lectures over about 3.6 hours. It opens with a review of the target sounds, then moves to syllable work, American rhythm and flow, shortcuts and idioms, and a shadowing lesson. Completing the first course is recommended, not required.

Reviewers are warm about the teaching. They call it precise and easy to absorb, and one says progress showed up within a couple of days. One says she sounds clearer and, more important to her, more confident. Another reviewer, an immigrant, says the instructor's story about his parents' struggles with communication spoke to her own experience of being judged for her accent. Complaints are thin. Of 271 ratings, 214 are five stars, 48 are four, and only nine are three stars or lower. The reviews we have don't explain those.

At about 3.6 hours it is short and focused, and a certificate comes with it. The tradeoff is that it leans on the first course. Roughly a quarter of the runtime reviews target sounds, and there are no quizzes. The syllabus was last updated in January 2026, so it is current. Intermediate and advanced speakers who already did the first course will get the most from it. Anyone newer to American sounds should start there instead.

I love how the instructor makes the targets easy to remember by assigning simple labels to them (target 1, 2, 3, and so on). It won't change your life, but it provides the basics to improve and raise up your pronunciation skills to the next level. It is not about watching. Rather, it takes time and daily practice.
