Probably a seventh grade level course that has been cut and pasted with info from different sources. Too basic a course if you're interested in entertaining a commercial production facility. I gave it a revised and generous 3 stars but to be honest, you'll not get plan design considerations, water flow (fluid dynamics), vendor info, challenges in on-going systems, RAS, CRAS design, costs and other detailed challenges in today's environment. AI is also lacking. I'm not interested in aquaponics so I skipped that piece. You may buy it to help their 503c but my learning was 0 and I know Israel and Turkey are having many breakthroughs in aquaculture as off late but no info given. This course is not to the level I expected. Should be 1 star if you're serious about entertaining the possibility

I would rate the information provided within this course 5/5 because there was a lot of great content, and I learned a lot of new things. There was an excellent number of highly educated speakers covering many different aspects of aquaculture. However, the editing needs some serious work. There are several spots where a person says "cut", there is repeated content, poor audio quality, and other errors that seriously detract from the quality of learning. If the videos were updated and corrected, I would change my rating to 5/5.

Overall the content of the course is quite broad, which is great. In specific topics there is enough detail to provide a very satisfying and worthwhile experience. There are enough additional resources to keep you busy researching further topics beyond this course. I have not found the depth and detailed information provided in ATOLL anywhere else on the internet. Overall- outstanding.

I just have finished college, my major was Biotechnology engineering in México and I took a few classes related to aquaculture. This course is giving me the chance to learn about the musts in aquaculture by experts but in an easy way to get for the beginners.

This is a great course. Have learn a lot and want to learn more. In his videos Mr Glenn is concentrating on him instead of showing what he is doing. think that these videos should be done again so that the student may see what is happening. Great course

Some really good material overall, BUT, the intro to aquaponics videos have problems. Video 7-38 is the same as video 7-36 AND it starts repeating midway through. Video 7-39 is the same as 7-36 with parts of 7-38 in it too. In video 7-41, the speaker says he wants to show something about the system but for 5 of the 11 minutes the camera is zoomed in on him so half the video you cannot see what he is talking about or demonstrating. The camera person doesn't seem to understand that the viewer wants to see the details of the system, not just the speaker. Frustrating two sections from the Oompaloompa Gardens. There is a lot of good information here, but it isn't being conveyed well. For instance, a 3 second shot of the bottom of a bucket with the piping would convey plenty of useful information where waving the bucket doesn't. The videos promise diagrams that are not forthcoming as resources. Good new techniques shown in these sections: air lift pump, outboard siphon, plywood float tray top with 3 in net pots and soil cubes This section needs some work and some construction details.

Although there were numerous misspellings, quiz questions were out of synch with material, parts of slide material was off the screen, and some instructors searched for words... the overall material and presentation was definitely worth taking. You might want to have the signatures on the certificate fit in their appropriate areas. In "Trayponics - Pt 2" the camera focuses solely on Glenns face and doesn't show what he is doing when he asked, "did you see that?" Also, "Trayponics - Pt 3" at 3:05, Glenn walks off the camera and then comes back and says, "we'll cut this part out". Overall, great course for a beginner to start with.

Im still making my way through the course. As somebody who presently works in television production some of the presentation is a bit dated, and/or poorly edited but the info is sound regardless! If you are interested in this topic its well worth it. ill update it again once i finish this course.

Think this is a very early entry level. I hope it will get a bit more challenging in the future. So far the instructors are good. The sound is perfectible and some non-native english speakers could benefit from subtitles. Hope these are constructive remarks as I think this is the only course available on the market as far as I could find.

What a fun course! I learned a great deal and enjoyed the structure of it. The course content is very comperhensive and informative (lots and lots of great information). The instructors are awesome! They are engaging, inspiring and motivational. I really want now to grow my own food, and even make some money. Great production and I've got more than I've ever expected for an online course. Keep the good work and let us know if ATOLL will have more courses in the future.
