John Christopher is a Technical Instructor that has been in the business for 25 years. His first experience with information technology occurred in the early 90s when he ran an MS-DOS based BBS(Bulletin Board System) as a System Operator. In the late 90s, after working with Windows NT 3.50 performing backups for Regal Group, he decided to get Windows NT Microsoft Certified.
In 1998 he got his first Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Trainer certification. Shortly after getting certified, he began working as a Junior Administrator and Instructor for Knowledge Alliance. From there John was able to become one of the first people in the world to gain an MCSE for the Windows 2000 operating system and he began teaching full time for a company called Productivity Point International. At Productivity Point, John got Citrix Metaframe certified and began teaching Citrix along with Microsoft classes. Productivity Point began experiencing financial troubles and John moved on to work with another training company in 2001

The AZ-801 course provided valuable knowledge on configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Server hybrid environments. The content was practical and well-structured, helping me better understand advanced administration, security, and integration with Azure services. Overall, it was a useful course that enhanced both my technical skills and confidence in managing enterprise Windows Server environments.

Observo que tiene material desactualizado. Lo cual, es especialmente relevante siendo que es un curso que te prepara para un examen de certificación. De resto, sus explicaciones y forma de enseñar son muy buenas y destacables.

Outstanding course with strong technical depth and excellent coverage of Windows Server hybrid scenarios. It effectively builds on AZ-800 fundamentals and dives deeper into security, failover clustering, Azure Site Recovery, and hybrid identity. The hands-on labs and real-world simulations—especially around Azure integration, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting—made the concepts practical and applicable. The sections on Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and hybrid monitoring were particularly valuable. Highly recommended for IT professionals aiming to advance into hybrid cloud, system administration, or Azure-focused roles and preparing for AZ-801.

John does a great job breaking down the topics in this exam. His little labs are a quick and easy way to go through the steps of some common tasks without needing to spin up your own environments.

I like the way John Christopher structures his classes. He balances teaching the material and sharing his real-world experience to illustrate the material. I was able to pass my AZ-800 thanks to John's training. I highly recommend John's trainings no matter if you're startin in IT or have years of experience. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us, John!

I've done a few of his course and it's great how dedicated he is to providing extensive courses based on Microsoft certifications. However, his "hands-on" lessons are mainly him over-explaining every little detail rather than focusing on creating a perfect system. Also listening to an 18 minute lecture on failover clustering or any of the little sub-topics is painfully boring and once again focuses too much on the micro rather than the macro. Mostly for those who want to do the actual exam rather than simply learn Windows Server.

As always I have only the best words for John Christopher's courses. Each course is well thought out, explains difficult things in simple terms and I'm glad that there are plenty of simulations and extras that I can review later after the lecture. So again, thank you John Christopher, thank you Udemy :)

I like the content of this course, It's well explained by John. But if you run Virtual machines, then you need enough memory. You can always upgrade the memory of your computer, it doesn't cost that much. I have upgraded the memory on both my laptop and desktop computer so that I can run several VMs at the sam time and give the VMs the amount of memory they need. 8 GB of Ram is not enough, you need at least 16 GB.

Classic John Christopher course it seems. Really well-presented, clear and covers everything that is needed. The demonstration is straighforward and understandable. Tons of useful info provided in this course.

Had already done the AZ-800 and found it very helpful and very well done course. Was also able to take the AZ-800 Exam and passed it with flying colours. Found this course also really good and can't wait to go and take the AZ-801 exam to get my certification. Definitely recommend it, even if you don't want to take the exam.
