I took this course to improve my pre-production process and storytelling. What information that was worth taking notes was surrounded by a ton of fluff. This course could've been 1-2 hours long with more examples given of how to actually apply what was taught. The examples that were shown really didn't show anything of value. I got more story insight from the links that were shared to external resources. I felt like I was just being talked at the whole time -- cut the fat and this course may have been worth it. I kept wondering when he was going to get to the point. This seemed more like a goal setting course for YouTubers and even then it would be subpar.

I have been producing videos on Youtube for 2 years and of course since I've been doing it for two years I had prior knowledge and ideas about what I was going for. I wanted to up my game and hear some other creators ideas about creating video process. If you are a complete beginner then I think this course will give you a lot of value. You will get clarity of what you want to do with your videos, and it will give you a workflow for creating videos which is one of the most important things on video creation process. You should do the exercises. If you skip exercises I don't think ideas will help you much. If you are an intermediate content creator, this course might add some thoughts and ideas to your current workflow. Which is exactly what it did to me. The instructor is very energized and the content is mostly smooth. One thing I didn't like was in every section of 1-2 video there is a lot of summarizing what is going to happen. I understand it is nice to tell people what is going to happen up-front but to my taste it was a bit too long. Anyways, thanks for the course and I wish everyone happy learning!

You definitely hit the mark in being what I was looking for as a new creator. The course did a great job in getting me to answer 'why' that I'm creating, followed by a methodical 'how' to plan and execute, ad all while developing a 'start today' mentality. Great course! You have me excited now about your other programs.

I'm really impressed with the course information and learning exercises!! I've taken a few online and in person filmmaking courses before and I really feel like this course the most. It's a perfect blend of lectures, teachings, and learning exercises. Plus the downloadable resources are quite helpful to follow along with! I have enjoyed it - however for me, rather slow paced - probably because I have been involved in writing music, Scripts, short stories. I'm specifically interested in the craft of making videos. From the remaining lecture content, I think this aspect will be more fully addressed. Thanks - all good - it's always beneficial to ponder on your motivations, ideas, etc.

Julian always makes top notch courses, and this time is no different. I enjoy watching, and learning from, first how engaging he's able to make his content with his videos -- and love, and learn from the content as well. Just started this course, but expect to get through the whole thing before the end of the day. Loving it so far
