Blockchain 101: The Basics (Udemy.com)

Good course overall. Did learn a few more things about blockchain that I had never thought about myself within such a short period of time. Instructor was good, could get monotone at times but overall did a good job.

Was hoping to learn more about corporate use of blockchain for transactions and not so much about bitcoin but it was a good overview technologically. Still not 100% sure how the actual data is processed through. Not too familiar with hashing.

Trying to build credentials in the blockchain and crypto currency field. Even though I've conducted a lot of self-study and completed other online courses in blockchain and crypto, I figured I better take this as a prerequisite to several other Udemy courses in which I enrolled, just in case it covered something I wasn't already familiar with. It did contain some useful new information on the Ethereum blockchain in terms of state transitions and distribution of contracts over multiple blocks. Also contained a little more useful detail on PoS, in terms of stake being at risk if a stakeholder proves untrustworthy.

The instructure knows a lot of the subject and he should tell us, where can we check a little about the main idea or maybe create like a dictionnaire with all the words that belongs to this programming world (ex:hash, what is it?)

I find myself learning - step by step - about something that I knew absolutely nothing about - in what so far is a sure and non daunting manner. The progression is logical and pretty much non technical. I am pleased with my progress.

Good course for someone with a beginners grasp of the general concept of what blockchain is and now wishes to know a little more technical detail and understand certain terminology. Well paced, personable and easy to follow. Relaxed and clear tone of voice as if the instructor is talking to a friend. Some images were a definite aid to what was being explained (e.g. decentralised vs distributed), whereas other images were more difficult to comprehend (e.g. some of the images that represented code). Overall a positive learning experience, thank you.

Early slides are not very clear. Last slide saved this from a 1 star. I'd recommend breaking this down to logical pieces that flow in smaller bits and show how it all comes together. Currently, it's a collection of technical slides which it attempts to hang together by talking over them.

Great job... Not a hands-on programming course - but a good overview and introduction to Blockchain concepts and terminology for developers. Appreciate the concise presentation and logical structure of the course; I feel the course prepared me well to delve deeper into the subject - on the programming side of things. Thank You !

Course provides a good high level technical overview of blockchain technology. Additional potential applications for the technology would be beneficial (ie. how would a bank leverage blockchain technology, what could a central bank do with the technology, etc..)

Terminology not well defined to student, acronyms used referring to organisations that are maybe known in the country of course author. Does not flow overly well with side comments that may be important but it is not clear, etc, etc.
