3.5 PDUs for Strategic and Business Management
You know that projects are temporary endeavors to create something unique. But before a project can begin, there needs to be a clear set of project requirements - and that's where the BA starts. While the project manager manages the project, it's the BA that gathers the requirements to solve a problem or seize an opportunity. Projects should really begin after the BA has explored the scenario, determined the business value, and built a set of requirements for the organization to consider. Without good requirements, it's challenging to have a successful project.
If you're new to business analysis, project management, or you've been tasked with gathering requirements and identifying stakeholders, this is a great place to start. We'll quickly go through the basics of analysis so you can apply what you've learned and get things done. This course is ideal for project managers, project teams, and new business analysis. It's quick. It's direct. And it's packed full of information.

The explanations are very clear and easy to follow. I'm going to enjoy my role as a Senior Business Analyst!

In many ways the course felt like a CAPM refresher. I like Joeph's presentation delivery and will look out for his other courses.

Jovial Joe, an analysist I know . . . Wait a minute. This is a review, not a limerick - Joe teaches Business Analysis Foundations as easy to understand as one could get: Nothing esoteric about it; right, Joe? Whether you work for a company in any capacity, from PM to CEO to an order taker, or own you own business, you can only benefit from this course. It is a great starting point for anyone just entering the business world, which is basically the world we live in, to someone who has done this for years: A reminder can never hurt. Well done!

Very interesting introduction to business analysis. However, on Udemy, the presenter voice is only present on the left ear which is very tiring when the environment makes the use of an earphone mandatory. The availability of the presentation could also have saved me time for note-taking. By the way, I did not find how to extract the notes taken throughout the training.

yes because it is required. Interesting to see how BA is defined here compared to a different in my previous role

This course is very relevant and constructive. It clearly explains the role of each stakeholder a Business Analyst works with, their responsibilities, and the methodology a BA follows. It is very instructive, helps clarify key BA terminology, and is useful for daily work: from understanding the enterprise and the big picture to eliciting, analyzing, and managing different types of requirements.

Great so far. I have taken his CAPM and PMP classes and really like his classes. The audio from his speech only comes out on the right-hand side, however. This is somewhat distracting.

I may be surprised that i knew many of the things that are being shared up to this point, so this is a good refresher at this point of the training.

As a returning BA/PO, I was wanting to get better context for understanding the processes and information at my disposal as a member of the project team. Alot of the explanations and use cases of scenarios, really allowed me to get an enhanced grasp of the role and the questions/methodology to approach and walk through work items/discussion. I would highly recommend this course to others if able. However, I was a bit surprised that there was no resources attached to any of the modules to have post completion of the training. I would recommend that be something to add for those to enhance the experience across the enterprise.
