I had used earlier versions of Camtasia several years ago. I recently upgraded to the current version and wanted to update my understanding of the program. After taking the course I was amazed at what I learned! This course is extremely comprehensive and very well presented. Anyone who wants to use this program should take this course and become a Camtasia Ninja! Many thanks To Ron Hogue for the tremendous effort he has put into producing this excellent course! I originally had Camtasia 6. I inherited it and had absolutely no training. So, this course will certainly save me a lot of time in the long run as I start to use the 9.1 version. Am I master now that I've taken the course? Hardly. This course would have benefited me more had there been some production lessons showing the software's capabilities. I would like to have have seen it in action for different applications. Like producing an explainer video, a short eLearning module, a marketing video, etc. The software doesn't appear to have a lot of 'beef', and now I'm concerned I spent $200 for something that won't give me the experience I was hoping it would. Certainly not the instructor's fault. DaVinci Resolve is a free download. Are there Udemy courses for it as well?

Love the way it is segmented. You really can leave out the song for cleanup but it sticks in your memory, so its effective. I love the energy and enthusiasm in your delivery, this keeps you engaged. You are very thorough and it is appreciated. Your knowledge of the product is excellent. This course could be targeted for non-technical because of the in-depth explanations but for a technical person we need to know what the feature functionality and time to play with it. I must reiterate that they way you segmented the lesson, makes it so easy to go to the area of interest or need. Overall I loved it!!

Ron Hogue is a Master at presenting. It was a very long coure, but breaking it down made it easy to follow. I feel I have a real grasp on CS9. I also like to know that I can revisit any portion at any time if I get stuck. There is no doubt that I will watch his other videos. The only problem I encountered was at lesson 144 the presentation was very slow. I check other videos on Udemy at that time and found them slow. I was very frustrated until I found the help buried under Options. I cleared my cache in Chrome, shut down my computer and re-started. The normal presentation speed re-occurred. I suggest you make the Play resolution more obvious on the Dashboard. Thank you, Ron.

Ron knows his stuff and delivers an encyclopedic type course. This course would be a good reference source on an ongoing basis. The only downside is there are no significant real-world applications to show how a pro might put together a top-notch video. There are some examples of using various features but I would like to see a more substantial example that used the most common, useful features of Camtasia. Overall, an excellent course though. You might want to supplement this with a shorter course that focuses more on building an example application rather than just describing the features of the software.

The course covers Camtasia 9 in great detail. Ron is an amazing instructor and it shows in his consistent, easy to understand and structured coverage of the topics. Couple of things that I missed on my list of expectations: 1. I was looking forward to seeing some real-life sample creations of the various features that would let me understand the possibilities. A list of top 10 video creations and relating them to the various features would have helped. 2. The course takes a "learn the product/features" approach while I would have preferred a "work on a real project" approach. Overall, a great course and a valuable product reference.

I just finished this course. Ron is probably the best instructor I've experienced on Udemy, and I've purchased over 50 courses to learn new technologies (I'm a web developer). Ron's course is very complete, he describes things in great detail, and by the end of the course you are ready to create amazing videos, that is for sure. So hats off to Ron. I wish other Udemy instructors would follow his example and produce with the same professionalism.

Mr. Hogue is one of he best trainers on Udemy. His teaching style and content delivery is broken up into bite size elements, purposely, making learning easier and facilitates the review of individual subjects navigable. He knows Camtasia forward and backwards and its timely with the latest release of Version 9. He has won awards with Techsmith, the software company that programs Camtasia. I highly recommend this course for serious Camtasia video creators and editors.

This is a really clear, helpful introduction to Camtasia 9. The only problem I had was with the Udemy framework, which for reasons best known to itself, marked off Sections of the course as being completed when I had not taken them and decided to open the videos the remaining sections of the course in the middle. Annoying rather than a major problem

What an absolute gem of a course! I consider myself a Camtasia power-user, but still learned so much from this course. The depth of Ron's knowledge is great and initially I thought I would be skimming the course or taking selected lectures of interest, but was finding so many gold nuggets in each lecture that I decided to put in about 15 hours over the last few days reviewing every second of every lecture to learn more. And the investment of time was worth it as I am certain my next training course will be higher quality than my first and my productivity has increased at least 10% - 15% editing with Camtasia from what I learned in the course. Great job, Ron. The course far exceeded my expectations.
