This is a great video series. However, it by itself is not enough to achieve the CCNA Security certification. I would utilize this as a primary source since it was the most complete course that I found. I do have an issue with the 10 minute video rule. Where did this rule come from? It caused a lot of extra fluff within the course. At the beginning and end of each 10 minutes there is a summary that is completely unnecessary. If a topic last 40 minutes, I don’t want to hear 6 extra summaries about what is to come or what was just covered. 1 video per topic should be sufficient. This video series was better than Pluralsights!!! Way to go!!!

This is a great starter for CCNA security. Although not all concepts within the CCNA security curriculum are covered in this course, this is great to help understand basic CCNA Sec concepts. Pairing this course with Cisco books/whitepapers and a solid practice exam will take to towards exam success like it has for me.

I have been able to attain my CCNA R/S using the Bulldog approach. I am currently learning and using the CCNA Security & CCNP to assist in my current job duties. There are very good examples to learn from in these videos and I have recommended these videos over ten times. My co-workers are benefiting from these videos now!

Chris Bryant is an excellent instructor who really knows his subject inside and out, what he says and shows you what could and does happen in the real world of networking is essential. I am studying for the CCNA Security exam and this course covers most of the exam material but be aware that for the exam you need to study a wider subject matter.

Chris: 1. Gives back, 2. Teaches at a good pace, 3. Remains current with the material, 4. Is easy to understand and very detailed, 5. Has multiple helpful resources, 6. Likes to answer questions, 7. Is always encouraging, 8. Shares his learning experiences. Chris stays relevant with course material.

Excellent all around course! Chris' knowledge of the subject matter and the way in which he presents it to his students is both clear and straightforward. Topics are discussed, explained and demonstrated in a way that no one gets left behind or entrenched in 'techo-talk' that does little to educate or, worse yet, doesn't cover the needed information to pass the exams. Passed my CCNA with The Bryant Advantage videos and plan to do the same on the CCNA Security exam as well. 'THANKS,' Chris!

Easy to follow. Well organized. Neither patronizing nor overly complicated. My only complaint is that Udemy did not make it clear (at the time I purchased the course) that the material was older and updates are not yet ready. If I'd have known, I might have looked somewhere else. As it turns out I finished the original material just as the new stuff was coming out. So it all worked out OK. If I can update this review after taking the test, I will.

Chris has an upbeat, conversational style that keeps the lectures interesting in this format. He is generous with the labs to demonstrate the commands and their variations - something imperative in the Cisco world. He covers nearly all of the content that you need to sit the exam, but as with any exam, you should supplement any course with your own practice on real or virtual equipment and with any books that you can find with Practice Tests in them. Chris Bryant's courses are the best I have found in the genre of Online Virtual Classes so far, and that comes from years of experience going though CBTs, DVDs, and online classrooms and courses.

Chris does a great job of explaining the material, only problem is that it doesn't do much to help someone prepare for the actual exam which Cisco felt needed to have CCNP level topics put in there. In order to pass, you need to study all CCNA and CCNP security topics. Even then, you may not pass.

I thought this was a decent course. Now that Cisco is retiring the course and moving back to the command line I'm not sure how beneficial it will be moving forward. I guess the theory will remain the same but the implementation process is going to be a lot different. I look forward to Chris's new Security class and will be attending it as soon as it become available.
