While there was some good information in this course, I would have appreciated more examples of core concepts. In addition, the presenter's accent was difficult to understand at times. Still, there is some good, basic info here and I can recommend the course with only minor reservations.

By Dulaine Roode on 9/18/2024

The information provided in this course was very enlightening. I was under the impression that the course would be slightly more in depth, but for the money I paid for it, it was on par.

By Craig Baumken on 3/4/2024

This is exactly what I am looking for to self-edit my own books and teach editing. The narrator speaks slowly and concisely and I have learned many tips and tricks to become a more proficient self-editor.

By Giselle Baquero on 3/1/2024

The topics are well explained and are interesting, but they lack examples to make them clearer. Besides, it can turn out to be kind of boring by the way the course is explained (there is lack of dynamism both in slides and PDF text). However, in general terms it's an useful Masterclass. Good thing I appreciate, is the use of many short videos instead of few but long ones. Thanks!

By Cathey Nell Spies on 8/13/2023

definitely an important addition to my skill set. Brought several aspects of editing into focus that I had not regarded as particularly important.

By Jesse Armstrong on 8/8/2023

This course is a great way to get introduced to the world of proof-reading and editing. It has a lot of great pointers for someone who does not know much about the field. One issue I do have with it is; as a native English user, I find a lot of the information to be rather self-evident. So I did not gain as much as I had hoped, personally. In any case, a solid course. I would recommend it.

By Alanna Judge on 4/2/2023

I enjoy the concises points in each lesson combined with the examples giving by the instructor. I like that I can pause the videos to take notes and go back to them for clarification.

By Sue De Souza on 1/9/2023

Initially, when I bought this course I thought it focused mainly on proofreading and editing, but after finishing it I'd be lying if I said I wasn't somewhat disappointed. The provided booklet was obviously not proofread and certain topics were too vague to actually help me learn anything, which made it difficult to trust the validity of the course and what it was teaching. If you're keen on learning the nuances of writing and how to structure content within a narrative, there might be some useful gems in here for you. However, for those looking to improve mainly in their editing and proofreading skills, I suggest you look elsewhere.

By Melva Blackburn on 4/27/2022

I really enjoyed the course. It would have been easier to understand without reading the text if your pronunciations in English had been what I was used to. A lot of the words you pronounced in a very different way than I had ever heard them. But I really did like the class very much. Thank you for arranging it for us.

By Ayessha Paarkar on 2/1/2022

Very good course for beginners and even people like me who have quite a bit of knowledge! Also, there are so many tips for people who want to start writing. It was great. Thank you!
