Good introduction course to Kubernetes. Introduces basic concepts well. Some of the videos are a bit chaotic though. And don't explain how to use introduced concepts in real-world or don't give any context (e.g. secrets, statefulSets, how to write manifests, what are the best practices in production, etc). But it's probably good for the exam because it briefly talks about all topics and you can explore them in k8s docs on your own in more detail.

THIS WILL NOT PREPARE YOU FOR THE CKA EXAM In overall, this course has good content, and the speaker has good domain over kubernetes en DevOps Tools. However, I was expecting this to be a more hands-on training to prepare myself for the CKA I will be taking, and instead is just got another youtube playlist that isn't even in order: - The sequence in content is not beginner friendly (e.g. it starts using helm several videos before it even explains what helm is) - There is duplicated material. I already took the first attempt for the CKA, and from the course title I was expecting to improve my times on what the exam focus: troubleshooting, etcd, kustomize, and on-exam tips.... but instead here I just found a speedster high level overview of the kubernetes topics... While I recognize the effort to make the content more dynamic and funny, I often found myself lost while the presenter was jumping from one idea to another, showing that the content wasn't prepared. I can also recommend avoid using filler words, literally each sentence ended with: - Ok? - Alright - last, but certainly not least.

Great course. He is very well spoken and he provides very detailed and clear explanations with excellent examples throughout the course. His course is easy to follow and he has a very good teaching style and structure to his lectures

I thought the material was presented well and was easy to understand. I thought it would cover a little more advanced/detail topics, but I thought it was great overall. Two critiques: 1) Some off the video and intros could have been a little smoother as it felt like certain sections video started in the middle of a dialogue rather than the beginning 2) I thought there would be more hands on. I'm glad I have the example repos and I can walk through some of the material we reviewed, I just thought there would be more lab type exercises.

Concise and still quite in-depth and very specific on kubernetes components and k8s itself. The lecturer is well equipped with in-depth knowledge and still does alike with a sense of holistic perspective give a broad overview without leaving anything out. Nice temper calmly explained. Like it! Also I like the security aspects mentioned.

This course didn’t just walk me through all the domains and competencies needed for the CKA — it also went above and beyond by covering a bunch of tools you’ll often come across in real job postings or day-to-day work. Thanks, Michael, for putting together such valuable content!

By Anonymized User on 5/4/2025

the initial videos were pretty good, lots of explanation on how/why. good diagrams, I really enjoyed it! then at the end, not much explanation, just copy paste to show things working / getting fixed. please, zoom out on your VS Code! nobody uses 800x600 anymore haha it was hard to follow when you scroll up and down quickly.. and that tool showing you committed 2years ago, not necessary for the course

By Njeh Mutanga on 5/27/2024

Great course. I learned more than preparing for an exam. Michael made it seem like a live class especially with the use of the screen board. It was fun. At some point I found myself laugh with the instructor. I will definitely take his other courses in the future.

By Natalia Romanova on 3/27/2024

Overall good course, except few things: - 2 lectures are duplicated. - Beginning is great with a lot of examples, but other 2/3 is just fast information, without examples. This gave me impression that only first 1/3 of the course was well made and the rest was made to fillup course content.

By Rui Fernando Ferreira Ribeiro on 2/25/2024

After enrolling in this course upon following others courses, I immediately noticed its accelerated pace and the instructor's rapid delivery in English. It was clear from the outset that the instructor possesses profound expertise and delivers content with remarkable clarity and engagement. Unlike previous courses where I found myself constantly checking the time, this one held my attention effortlessly, making the learning experience truly captivating.
