Cisco Certified Technician R&S RSTECH (100-490) Training (Udemy.com)

Overall, I found this course very useful, but not exactly useful for the CCT RSTECH 100-490 test. It does cover many of the subjects that are on the CCT RSTECH 100-490 objectives list, but, perhaps due to the nature of the test itself, there is much here that is not covered. I would have liked to see more material that specifically addressed the test itself. That being said the labs here, while not always perfect, were very useful for me. I think the author could update the videos with the most recent packet tracer version and maybe clean up the handwriting on the slides to make this a very good intro to network building course.

Training was top quality and includes a lot of real world examples from an experienced instructor. I liked his way of teaching and found him knowledgeable in most of the topics. He is not only giving theory and running away but also trying to push you hard for practical part as well. Thank you a lot.

The course helps you to get back to the basics of networking. Take the packer tracer excercises serious they are of very high value for starters Networkel really takes time to explain the stuff thats on the board, take you back to previous explained topics and also helps nderstand why things go wrong instead of right. This helps you understand what you're doing. Passed my RSTECH (100-490) on 1-4-2022 with the help of this course.

I'm very interested in networks as a software developer and course gave me a hand to understand the basics of computer networks and TCIP/IP. It was a good experience to know how routing is being performed which was really important for my future projects. Anyway I liked it and want to continue with some other training of him as well.

Pretty straight forward explanations of fundamentals like TCP / IP and OSI. It was a good match for me and above my expectations. I have recently graduated from college and training put a light on my way. Now I have good information about networking and feel like I can pass the exam and even find a job later on this area.

Course is very suitable for a beginner who wants to learn basic information. It's comprehensive and easy to follow. I found instructor experienced and his delivery is engaging which makes some lessons really fun. I'm really glad to enroll this training instead of paying lots of money outside. I feel myself ready for the exam now.

Note: 3.5/5* is purely based on the material covered which, in itself, is 5*. It loses a star purely because of the classic switch tactic from "CCNA R&S" to "CCT R&S", meaning they are old videos that mention CCNA progression- rather than CCT which is marketed as... As for the material for CCT: The Good: Its knowledgeable, there is a good enough foundation to learn most "general knowledge" questions in Network and basic understanding of CISCO CLI with lab exercises using the Packet Tracer. The presenter/teacher was sometimes hard in the beginning to understand- almost like a Russian with lacking English pronunciations, but as I got into the videos I became accustomed to his presenting style and enjoyed his uplifting enthusiasm. The Bad: If you've tried practice exams for CCT and looked into the prep, you should know that CCT 100-490 has more on-site requirements with questions of CISCO equipment and IOS- IOS stuff are VERY briefly discussed and equipment is non-existent due to the aforementioned original focus being CCNA rather than CCT. Also, about half way through the course, the teacher starts becoming less focused on explaining things fully and would read from his already made presentation slides before moving on and not elaborating- sometimes referring you to "going back to a previous lesson", which, for a 2 minute explanation- doesn't require sifting through 4 hours of videos to find one explanation... In summary: Getting this on a Udemy deal is recommended purely for the fundamentals into surface level Layer 1-3 knowledge of Networking, AND the great lab exercises that you can follow along with at home! However, this was more aimed at the old CCNA R&S knowledge, so for additional knowledge into ISO, Switch specific boot operations, load-up configurations and equipment, you are best off going for a CISCO learning package.

Very useful training that really gives you some great idea about Cisco networking. Even you don't know anything you can start from scratch by using this material where narrator explains everything in very detail. It's easy to understand and he's giving some good examples that makes thing better.

That was a cool experience for me to start networking from scratch. Content of training is fine and I'm able to find what I need for example subnetting, IP addressing etc. Practical labs made me to get some hands on experience. If you need to build skills about networking and especially with Cisco , I would recommend this course.

After viewing entire course I realize all objectives in exam were not covered. There were times when this guys accent was a real problem especially when trying to give explanations on key concepts. Labs were great, topics covered were on exam objectives but I still need additional courses. Perhaps this course should not advertise as a complete guide for cct 100-490 exam as it is only about 70% inclusive. Notwithstanding I believe this course was helpful and will watch a second time.

Good course covering all basic information about Cisco routers and switches. It was nice to have some opportunity for hands-on configuration as well.

Training is beneficial if you want to take Cisco certification exam. As a technician I learnt lots of helpful topics which is gonna let me improve myself on my job.
