So, this is a really good introduction to color grading/correction. It's to the point, in simple to understand language, and it doesn't take long to get through the material. I am satisfied with the lesson, but it could use a little bolstering. If there was an exercise to do with some stock footage or something to help hammer the lessons in, I'd give this five stars. This isn't a deep dive (and I don't think it's meant to be), so it is good for what it is. I'd recommend this to someone that's just starting to learn editing and is wanting to step up quality, but this is just the beginning!

It's a good overview on the software use. What I am really missing is downloadable example footage to play around and follow along. Also, I would have loved more detail on the color grading part in terms of the parade and vector scopes. It would be nice to have some sort of a demo exercise where a clip needs to be graded according to an example master clip.

This video course is really bringing you forward, when you are an absoluteley beginner in grading, with the knownledge of the Davinci Resolve basic tools. It helps out how to organize yourself into your grading process and give tips for specific kind of problems and how you can handle it with Resolve. All in one: Buy it! A really useful course.

Rob is very good at explaining this toolset. I was hoping, based on the description that this course was going to be more about the art of color correcting than a walkthrough of Resolve. I learned things throughout but it is not what I was expecting.

I was really looking for a course that covered the art of colour grading. All the courses are more along the lines of how to use davinci resolve etc. Anyone can learn what buttons to press. What you should be offering as an experienced Colourist are tips on colour grading, not how to use the software. Just my opinion.

This course is in Resolve 10 where as I am using Resolve 15. However, because I am new to Resolve; he is teaching the intricacies of Resolve which have not changed to much overall between versions and I find myself using resolve (exploring and testing) as he teaches and have learned much in so doing. Great course.

Even though the course is using an old version of resolve, Navigating through the newer resolve is very similar and self explanatory, I would encourage anyone who is starting in DaVinci to give this course a go, as it helped me understand a lot more about what i can do in this program and how to do so more comfortably.

The content is useful although I think it could be ordered better and the audio quality could do with improving. The tutorials themselves are swift and 2 the point and I think they get better as they go along. I certainly learnt a lot about the programme considering I'd never used it before this.

This is definitely not for a beginner. While he goes over a lot of topics, it moves rather quickly. I found myself rewinding frequently to follow his mouse and re-hear things. It's more about explaining a workflow than explaining how to use Resolve. If you are familiar with the program, it should help you work more quickly.

Overall a very good introduction to Davinci Resolve. Sadly it wasn't quite as in depth as I was hoping. I think this certainly covers introductory and some intermediate techniques for colour correction, but in terms of grading, or creating "looks", the information is lacking a little. Still, I would recommend this course. Would be great to have a follow up, advanced/professional tutorials, introducing more techniques.
