SAS Programming - Data Analysis from Beginner to Advanced (Udemy.com)

I really like how Mr. Ye explains each step as he goes through it - even the steps you would think most people know already - it shows he cares greatly about what he is teaching and ensures there is no confusion... I have a lot of confidence that Mr. Ye will be able to explain all these concepts to me and I will ACTUALLY be able to digest them! Love it!

This course is pretty good for an intro but I believe it is out of order. The case studies are Section 8 - at that time you don't know anything about dates or concatenation. I followed along with the code but didn't spend time trying to solve them myself as I didn't feel prepared at that time. Another thing that could be easily fixed is the supporting documents. Some documents you download from the course materials, others you download from the google drive. Having everything attached to the course would be preferred. I still learned a ton so for that I am very grateful!

Finally a course that shows me how to actually use a model to make a prediction! Every course I've taken previously covers: 1) How to create a model 2) How to test the accuracy of the model and then.... stops. It's been driving me NUTS! Alan gave me what I was missing: 3) How to use a model to make predictions on new data Additionally, the Case Studies, including a walkthrough of interpreting the results is extremely beneficial, and has been missing in other courses I've taken to date. This is a very good course for learning how to program in SAS, the SQL section is also very useful. I find myself using a lot of SQL queries in practices than data steps. Especially in the merging operations, the SQL queries are more intuitive and closely resemble the standard SQL queries, so the learning curve is much more confortable comparing the data steps.

I really like how engaging the exercises were and the way the various steps were structured to help the learner stay connected made it easier to follow and understand the exercises. It will be more helpful to explain the idea behind the key words so learners can get a foundational grasp. Some key words like Proc and Data step were explained but a lot more others were not explained and i had to google them to get a basic idea behind them. This is the only thing i wasn't pleased about. Other than this, Alan is amazing in his presentation and the way the lessons were structured, the sequence and pace of delivery was nothing but excellent. In fact, i have identified another course from Alan that i will be taking in the near future.

So difficult to follow, WPS used in video seems to be an outdated version. Instruction on where to locate resources required for learning not clear at all edit: Further to trainer response I haven't finished the intro as I can't get past it. There are errors when running the command and even when I'm seeking help I'm not getting a concise answer allowing me to progress.

easy to pick up the programming skills for a beginner like me. I have programmed in Python for about two years. But the SAS language syntax is very different from that of Python. I find the way the instructor delivers the knowledge easy to digest for me. The course quizzes are very useful, too.

Yes, pretty good for me. I particularly enjoyed the hands on projects, where I can put what I just learned into practice. I came from a biology background with basic knowledge in statistics. With that, I can follow the lectures without difficulties. In addition, I liked the sense of humor that the instructor has, making it easier for me to stay focused on the contents without losing interests. Over all, I would definitely recommend this course to my classmates!

A perfect course for beginners. Installing software was a breeze, really liked the step-by-step guide the instructor was doing! I feel comfortable using SAS procedures on projects and even wrote a few Macros! I put SAS Programming on my resume to apply for analytic jobs, scheduled an interview tomorrow, wish me good luck!! Will definitely recommend this course to my friends who want to start their analyst career!

i like the quizzes after each lecture, very informative, insteead of a waste of time. As a master student, I am required to use SAS in our statistic course, but our statistics professor is not going to cover SAS programming in class, so, here I am. Hopefully I can finish the course assignments and get a good score. I even have helped a few classmates on SAS programming!!!
