Course Description

Hi there, my name is Gianni and I have been fixing computers for friends and family since I was 15. It was only natural that after years of working random jobs I decided to go back to what I love, IT, and so I got my compTIA A+ certification (this right here, yes, and you will learn how to do that too as I will be teaching you everything I know about IT).

After I got the certification I started working as technical support in IT and it is great.

I am still studying myself when I have time but I thought I could find the time to create a course to help people that want to start a career in IT too :)

This internationally recognized core A+ course includes both the 220-1001 and the 220-1002 parts (it is a two-parts certification with two exams), our goal is to learn in a way so that you have a complete overview of what you need to know. Moreover, parts of the 1001 will cover the same topics of the 1002 so we get some repetition which is good to really store those concepts in your mind.

IT professionals can make anything from $ 30'000 to $150'000 so it's really your responsibility to keep learning and getting new certifications to advance your career.

So here are the steps to successfully start a career in IT:

-Study compTIA A+

-Practice with mock tests online for the 1001 (a google search will give you plenty of free resources. There are paid platforms too like measureup )

-Book your exam on the compTIA website

-Pass the exam

-Practice with mock tests for the 1002

-Get certified

-Apply for entry-level IT jobs

In the course I will also speak about real-life scenarios that you will face as an IT professional, so that you know what to expect from your first job (documentation, use of ticketing systems, logging tickets and receiving support calls) now all you need is patience and the right opportunity will come up :)

Best of luck and thank you for reading this far, hope you will enjoy the course!

HOW TO BOOK THE EXAM

-Buy a voucher on the compTIA or pearson VUE website

-Schedule the exam through the Pearson VUE website (can be also done remotely, at home)

Gianni Salice

I was born in Italy and grew up with the electronics coming up after the 90's (gaming consoles, personal computers and telephony devices).

Reading computer magazines I started to learn about these devices, and practicing things on my windows 2000 PC helped me develop a technical mindset.

After getting rid of that PC I built my own by purchasing the components I wanted (for gaming purposes)  and putting things together helped by paper books at that time :)

In no time family and friends would notice my knowledge and call me whenever they faced issues on their devices.

After moving to the US for a year and then to the UK I quit the random jobs and got my IT certification (A+) and straight away started working in this field.

When I think about the future I only see myself working in this field, improving and learning more every day, I am here to share my knowledge with you so I hope you will like my courses! :)

It's a great course the only thing is I sometimes fall asleep to it sometimes.

Its pretty ridiculous to have music playing in the background while you are trying to listen to someone teach you something new. I am probably just going to buy another course because I cant focus with techno going in the background.

This is death by powerpoint the guy just chats and chats there is no enjoyment in it i cant carry on with this course so i have in effect wasted my money. gutted.

Pace is a bit slow, more enthusiasm would help keep the focus of the listeners. Content is great though.
