Our take
Based on the ratings of 117 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in November 2024. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a lecture-based prep course for CompTIA's Network+ N10-009 exam. It runs about 25 hours across 131 lectures and 20 sections, and the description says it covers all five exam domains, from networking fundamentals to troubleshooting. Vijay Kumar is a security trainer who lists Security+, CCNA and CEH among the subjects he teaches. It is pitched at beginners, and nothing is required going in. About 2,200 students have enrolled. The syllabus shows no quizzes, coding exercises or practice tests, so it is video from start to finish.
Most of the 117 ratings are positive: 74 five-star and 31 four-star, for a 4.4 average. Reviewers say the content follows the exam objectives closely, and several say it helped them pass or feel ready. One mentions practical labs. The complaints are about the teaching. One one-star reviewer says Kumar's English is poor, and another says he cannot explain simple things well. That is partly a matter of ear and taste, but it is the one criticism that repeats, so listen to how he explains things before committing. The section order is a little odd too, with a security monitoring section sitting between OSI and Ethernet switching.
The course was last updated in November 2024, which is recent enough for an exam-prep course tied to the N10-009 objectives. With no practice questions built in, most people will want a separate question bank before booking the test. As a first pass through the concepts for a beginner, it looks solid and the reviews back that up. Anyone who learns by drilling exam-style questions will find it thin on that side. We would recommend it to self-paced beginners who are comfortable with the instructor's English.
Pros
- Follows the N10-009 objectives and all five exam domains, according to reviewers
- Several reviewers say it helped them pass the Network+ exam or feel ready for it
- No prerequisites, and 25 hours of video is a manageable length for a beginner
- Updated in November 2024 and rated 4.4 across 117 reviews
Cons
- No quizzes or practice tests, so exam-style questions need another source
- Two one-star reviews fault Kumar's English and his explanations as hard to follow
- Section order is odd, with security monitoring placed before Ethernet switching
The course is perfectly aligned to CompTIA's objective and exam!! Great Course indeed!
Beginner level fits: no prerequisites are listed, and the topics start at the OSI model before moving to routing and security.
