Your course and your Videos are beyond the BEST on this Udemy platform. You delivered an easy-to-understand teaching approach to a very complicated subject - you are brief and to-the-point using plain language even a kindergartener could understand -- You connected the dots and I appreciate you and I am very grateful for your efforts -- thank you for taking away my fears and giving me hope.

This course was by far the most engaging and thorough course out there. I had been watching videos from other people and I always got bored which lead to being distracted and long story short just felt like a waste of time. Until i found Andy from TIA, the way the course is designed was perfect for me. He explained everything in detail and then showed you how the technical parts are implemented. Very happy that I found this course and I feel much more closer to being ready for the sec + exam!

I used this course to review the material after going through Professor Messer's videos. What I really appreciated about this course was that the instructor put many concepts is much simpler terms that were easier to remember for the exam and frequently said, "here's what you NEED to know." As much as I enjoyed Messer's, I felt that he often gave a little too much background information that after a certain point became confusing. I also liked being able to see the software tools being used in real time. My only criticism is that a few out-of-date were terms were used that no longer appear on the exam, such as Man-in-the-Middle attack (on-path attack), mantrap (access control vestibule), and DMZ (screened subnet.) Other than that, I highly recommend this course for anyone who needs to take the 601 version of the exam before July. For those curious, I passed on 2/27 with a score of 789.

Indeed it was a very practical course for me. I bought 3 Sec+ courses in Udemy and I must say that this was the most interesting because of the lab environments. Maybe because i come from zero IT background. Thank you so much Andrew. Oh i must not forget to commend you on your jokes. Don't worry, your hand writing is fine hahahahaha. Thanks

The teaching content of the course deserves a a 5 star rating .However there are no notes or links attached to the course. The instructor says he will add it in videos but looking at the age of the course, he has no intention to add it any time soon. Having said that, he is good at explaining concepts very well and teaches with examples and analogies which helps a lot. You will have to prepare your own notes and sometimes ,his words are not clear so you go with whatever you hear. If you need explanations only, you are at the place!

An engaging course, brought to life with lots of labs and demos. The lab exercises are doable and accessible rather than requiring systems with high specs or in-depth prior knowledge in order to set up and complete them. Text is kept to a minimum in favour of a practical approach. Doing something as simple as visiting web pages of organisations or types of application included in the exam objectives helped to bring the content to life compared to simply mentioning them on slides.

This professor knows a lot in this subject, but he frequently messes up his words when talking to the point of it being hard to understand him. He says multiple times that he will include links in video description but there are never ANY links. Some videos are drawn out and boring while others are extremely rushed and he's talking very fast. I got SOME good information, but don't waste your money here.

I like professor Andy, he is very good. I am upset about not being able to replicate the lab when I got to lesson 116, "Install and setup an FTP Server and Client" from Section 21: 3.1 Implement Secure Protocols. I did everything like the Professor did and spent an extra combined 6 hours trying to get my VMs to talk to each other and was unable to do so. There are missing links for this lesson that do not explain how to get server and client to talk to each other. I tried to change the adapter settings and to get them on the same subnet/net and ensured the subnet masks were the same - I keep getting errors and unable to setup the FTP server and client. I wish that lesson was explained better.

I have struggled with Sec+ classes because most teachers just lecture. I love Andrews class because he explains in detail and demonstrates how its done. I am the type of learner that has to do it to understand it. I have learned so much from him. I want to take all his classes. Taking this class has motivated me to pursue a career in cyber security. I passed the Sec+ exam recently and I am so excited. I recommend this class to anyone.

Mr Andrew is a really great instructor. I would 100% recommend him for anyone interested in learning real honest security knowledge. I passed my sec+ with great help from his/this course. His PBQ are/were extremely helpful to my success in passing the certification… Only wish his course on his personal TIA were a little cheaper… looking into his Pentest+ and or Cysa+…
