Creative Writing - Get Writing, Keep Writing (Udemy.com)

I needed a reminder of a few of the things mentioned in the course, but the most important one is to keep on writing even if just for yourself. And the confirmation of pen and paper being the right tools is what did it for me. Since my job is to type away on a laptop all day, I cannot sit and write on my laptop any longer, and not when it should be my inspiration leaking on the page. I did not get to writing right away of course, but there is a project I have been wanting to finish for more than a decade now.

This course is fitting when starting to write and not really knowing how to start or just wanting ideas of how to structure your writing. It gives good tips and the video is clear. What I miss however, is a way to add my work to the Q and A section and receive feedback. I have done this but no feedback is ever offered, either from the author of the course or other students.

This course covered all the basics. The pace is slower than I expected and some of the topics felt short or abrupt. But this is a great starting point for anyone who really wants to start writing.

I had previously purchased longer courses but found I was procrastinating and needed to get back to basics. This course reminded me to think about writing as a fun, creative pursuit and not to put so much pressure on the finished article (I am perfectionist in the worst of ways!). Tracey's course has reminded me to have fun and given useful pointers to help release any creative blockages along the way.
