Course Description

Learn how to reduce your risk in trading on the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain blockchain networks by using Flash Loans via the Flash Swaps functions on the Uniswap and PancakeSwap Smart Contracts. In this course, we will cover all aspects of being able to borrow capital via the mechanism of a Flash Loan - which can only be done on the blockchain. Nothing like this exists outside of the blockchain. With this mechanism, if as long as the amount is paid back within the same transaction, you keep your arbitrage gains. If not, it's as though the transaction never happened and you're only left covering the gas fees.

We go deep into how to program and deploy a smart contract, but even more importantly, how to read, write and interact with Smart Contracts on the blockchain with Ethers JS. Hardhat is also used extensively for testing and deploying our own Smart Contracts too.

If you love Python, we have you covered too. There is a whole module just on how to interact with Smart Contracts where Shaun trades live to show the theory working in practice too.

If you have been trying to figure out Flash Loans or Flash Swaps and just can't find the code, or simply need help understanding it, then this is the course for you. We will go through each line of code and explain what it does. In this course you learn the principles, so that you can apply these in your own way to your own strategy.

Now if you are a complete beginner to programming, this is probably not the course for you. That said, we do have a crash course on Solidity and in the Appendix - Python and Javascript too.

For traders looking to improve their programming skills, you will likely love this. For programmers looking to learn some trading techniques, you will love this.

See you in class!

"I care about having an idea that is unusual, finding hidden gems and exposing them for those who have left the world of hype and are looking for something more real. Rinse and repeat. My teaching is an outlet for myself to put ideas into action, helping others effectively along the way and sharing for those without the same level of experience. I keep falling into other ventures, but am always happiest and most content when returning back to the teaching initiatives."

I really enjoyed the course. It was much more challenging then the Triangular arbitrage course, a bit more chaotic, but nonetheless very useful - I'm confident I can build something to test and execute my arb ideas. Some information in the course is outdated (there are new versions of ethers and hardhat for example) and you will need to figure out on your own how to fix it (thank god there's Copilot in VS code lol). But still a solid foundation is made once you understand the code that's presented by Shaun. Thank you!

I had another great experience going through this course! If you decide not to downgrade to the version of hardhat used during the course, you'll have to rely on some google/docs/LLM assistance for updated ethers 6.0 syntax , and some updates to hardhat (it now includes its own impersonate function and no longer uses waffle). I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn smart contract development!

Good course. Wish it had more with UniswapV3. A little outdated (things move fast in crypto), but easily worked around. Good guidance. With any of these contracts, libraries, etc. some errors are just so cryptic they're hard to find and figure out. I kept running into "Unknown transaction error 3"... which I finally figured out was something going on with the node. Had to restart node, recompile the contract, and it would work like normal. After a bit, it would revert back to the error above. Wish there was a more comprehensive idea what a certain error message means and why you would get it. Overall, I recommend the course and would do other updated ones by this teacher.

Shaun is a genuinely great instructor who really seems to enjoy sharing his knowledge and benefiting his students more than anything else. This course provides an excellent overview of the solidity programming language, hardhat development environment, flash loans as well as other topics related to web3 and arbitrage trading. There is also a python and JS crash course included as well. Highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in DeFi arbitrage trading.

I normally don't write reviews, usually I 5 star or 1 star it and no comment. So it's a high praise from me coming here to comment. This course, no....this instructor really is what made me do it. First and foremost you need to for sure have background skill in coding and blockchain. He explains everything in such great detail, such as why certain functions need to interact with others. This is truly complex to build and I grant you respect for being able to orchestrate this and at the same time teach it very well! One thing for sure, I spent a whole week trying to figure things out and fix problems and now everything works and what's more I have plenty of ideas to try ! Cheers my friend! I will be looking into more of your courses !

Lots of positives - it's really good to be taught the 'why' not just the how. Brilliant pace - it's not rushed, the concepts are expanded gently. All the mindset videos are fundamental to it being such a great course so far. Brilliant scope - so much info but it's all quite digestible and acceptable. The only criticism I have is that it's better to directly be instructed on what to do whilst the video is running- e.g. "just watch me code, don't follow along. When we get to the end - it's your turn". Really happy with this course!

You're going to run 10 functions at most in order to be successful at flash loaning, but it's a steep journey with unstable rocks under your feet. I took 3 other courses from this instructor. And this one has a whole another level of distraction due to the Solidity, Web 3, hardhat, etherscan, addresses etc... The flow of information gets constantly interrupted with some part of knowledge you have to acquire at that particular moment. I had very hard time to hold on, sometimes I couldn't stand it for 5 minutes at a time. I had to repeat and repeat... I'm at the final stage of the course and I still don't totally understand every part of it. I'm sort of annoyed.

Great course, packed with useful content. Really feel I have a much better handle on reading from the blockchain, doing swaps, knowing what the heck Uniswap and Pancakeswap are for. Teacher has very accessible, easy style, walks through many assumptions. Please keep making more content, we need more! E.g. more on liquidity pools and other financial engineering on chain would be great. Only thing to improve is really your screen resolution is bad (other people have mentioned this). If you could copy what leading teachers, e.g. Stephen Grider on Udemy do with regard to screen resolution, this would get a full 5 stars. Thanks sir, keep it going!

This course is great. Finally, I learned to use Flash Loans, after so many months of investigating, and run into intelligent contracts that were scams. You will learn not only to use Flash Loans, you will learn a lot about how to read and write data in the Ethereum and BSC blockchains, with JavaScript and with Python. In addition, you will learn Hardhat, a tool that personally I didn't knew, and I think is extremely important for the development of Smart Contracts.
