I liked the course. It's short, and that made me hesitate, especially since it's an old course and the platform doesn't even look the same, but I would still take it again because it teaches very well. I liked the way it covered the concepts, and if anyone is wondering whether to buy it or not, it's a very good option in my opinion.

Generally speaking, the course was good. It did help me in the first orientation in QuantConnect (QC). The one star is subtracted for two reasons: A) The course is old and hasn't been updated in a while so the QC website looks very different today then it did back in 2018 (last update as of 2nd Jul 2024); B) This course was quite short. I would prefer a longer one that goes in much more depth regarding the technical aspects, e.g. monitoring order execution (almost not covered at all), the "under the hood" of how QC executes the code, etc.

The delivery of the content is excellent. I'm halfway through and so far I feel quite grateful that I have development experience because I think someone without no coding experience will struggle. I'm really enjoying the introduction to some of the algo trading strategies.

This course advanced my deployment of live trading on the Quanctconnect platform. Although I would have preferred this course in python, one reason why I think there are fewer users, I think a new door was opened using C#. I don't think this course is for someone with no programming background. List, dictionaries, and class objects are all subjects that require additional references. I do like that we did not spend a 25% of the course going over these basics, which would be outside of the course objectives. Ultimately I think the course needs more engagement. At this time, there were only 20 questions asked by the community. The lecturer did not answer some questions in the answer section. Ultimately I have learned a few things in other lectures by viewing student questions or comments. Overall I am very appreciative of this course. There isn't much content about Quantconnect on the internet, with most content being developed for Quantopian. I chose Quantconnect because of crypto brokerage connections, live paper trading, and it is the most professional platform available as a private Quant.

Yes! Loved how it's explained and not over-explained. It assumes a certain level of understanding saving a lot of time. Entertaining for not beginners and allowing beginners to investigate specifics by themselves.

With this course, I was able to get a quick intro to QuantConnect, which is fantastic considering the numerous functionalities this platform offers. However, my expectations from the course were much higher: - There are key concepts that were not included when creating Trading Algos, for example, Optimizations. - The author is knowledgeable, but the way he presents the course is not very educational, in the sense that a lot of times, the audience is expected to just type in whatever he says, and do the research later. Although it is not very uncommon, but sometimes it would make more sense to just pause and explain more about some key concepts being discussed. - The algos created are always Buying assets, and the Trade Closing statements are either Sell() or MarketOrder(). That concept should have been clarified much more, and the author should have diversified the algorithms. - There are differences in the UI between the author's version and the actual one. It's not bad, but there are no follow-ups on in the course to explain what the main ones are. - Some questions were asked by students months ago and never answered, which makes me think about the long-term commitment of the author with the material. - The author assumes that everyone who enrolls in the course is comfortable in programming and in C#. If you are not in any of these 2, you might face some problems. All in all, I would recommend the course to someone who wants to get a quick intro on QuantConnect, but do not have high expectations.

The only problem is that I live in the EU, and there is no way I could make the algorithm work with the ETHEUR trading pair. Found out that it seems to be impossible to do on QuantConnect which is disappointing. That would be amazing if the training thought about EU users as well and mention this in advance. Thx

This course is awesome, I loved every second of it! The content is amazing, even for people with no previous coding experience (though I would highly recommend to complete a C# course if you want to get the max out of this course and of QuantConnect). Eric is an amazing teacher, super clear, to the point and fun! Thanks a lot Eric, can't wait for your next course!

I loved this course. Too bad it has so little to do with trading strategies. I would love to know more about this. It's a good way for everyone who is looking to get started with the quantconnect. Keep up the good work Erick!
