Cryptography: Learn Public Key Infrastructure from Scratch (Udemy.com)

Hands on lab which I personally liked throughout this course which helped me understanding the overall PKI concept in depth along with theory part.

I went through this couse several times and most likely do revisit some parts, it’s a great course but be aware it’s outdated and not fully applicable in the real world today in 2024. You can find better on internet for free Plus Udemy is now restricting screens captures which really helped me for building my labs, now it’s really not helping and discouraging I consoler stopping buying courses on udemy. But this course helps a lot understanding the concepts and the basic, I still do recommend it, but you will need a lot more material if you’re going into this seriously.

Setting up a CA from scratch can be very confusing. I have already used this course as a reference for two different projects. I have no doubt that I will keep referring back to the demo modules as needed. Great job and thank you!

Very useful video and in-depth explanation if it is very difficult to find these type of videos in the internet, only few can make such videos, thank you very much for sharing the knowledge

I liked the content and the way you describe this course and explain. Specially I liked the last module where you again covered everything thing which covered in previous modules that was kind of refreshment.

The course was very good and the labs were extremely helpful. Two points of critique that I would give is: 1. The slides are a bit disorganized - not all the slides are in the correct order. 2. During the labs, the presenter would mention errors and how to fix it after the error would occur. During this time, I would have to figure out on my own how to solve the error (which I suppose is good). He could have discussed all the steps beforehand, resulting in no error occuring. An example would be Root Certificates not in the Trusted Root Store before a certain step needs to occur. This would result in an error occurring. If he mentioned that the Root CA needs to be in the relevant store, it would not result in any error.

The course covered 95% of what I was looking for, I was looking for a refresher course and it certainly did it's part, didn't expect it to be at this level. What's missing is, migration steps from an old environment and the planning required. Also a complete Demo on NDES with a few network devices, would've made this course complete. Disaster Recovery would be another section that could've been included but then most of the information is included within the course. Thank you for your efforts. Clear and Concise!.

Can you please includes NDES installation videos thanks. 2. If possible, can you share some information on PKI migration from SHA1 to SHA2 planning. Even document links would be helpful. Thanks
