Course Description
**This course includes downloadable exercise files to work with**
The richest data store is only as good as your ability to search, sort, analyze, and present the data within it. This introductory-level course will give students a broad overview of the theory and practice of data analytics and the many ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) contributes to it.
Your instructor will begin with a brief history of data analytics and then proceed into discussions of data warehouses, data mining, business intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging AI techniques to make sense of big data.
Students will learn how data is captured, cleansed, analyzed, and presented on business intelligence dashboards that captivate and persuade an audience. “It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data," Sherlock Holmes once said.
Whether you are investigating analytics as a potential career move or wish to better understand the terminology you encounter with increasing frequency in your professional circles, this course will give you the foundation you are looking for.
This program includes 3 hours of instruction and a practice-based assessment, which will help students simulate real-world data analytics scenarios that are critical for success in today's increasingly complex workplace.

Its just a start , so far so good on the history of Data Analytics

Outstanding review of the history of analytics. Well presented. Lots of material covered with some great examples.
By Kisha DuBuclet on 2/13/2024
As it pertains to beginners, I think some of the information provided/covered was done rather quickly. Of course, this is all self-paced and can be reviewed at any time. It felt like injury via Power Point. Recommend: Graphics that are more engaging and maybe some small hands-on activities that will engage people whose learning styles are reinforced by actually doing rather than just listening. Otherwise, it was good.
By Rinus Leeuwner on 2/1/2024
The speaker's monotonous tone. Speaker just reading the text onscreen. Listed various analytics models, but would have liked if it was grouped/clustered per analytics type e.g. Descriptive or Diagnostic or Predictive etc. Rest of it was good and insightful.
By Jesus De Leon Melendez on 1/6/2024
Its a good summary of what DA and AI entails, but not a lot of details. Id say very introductory, might be worth it if you have no idea of what analytics entails. If you want a more in depth approach, this is not the course for you.

Thank you for the comprehensive summary.
By Nikhita Kamath on 8/18/2023
There was too much theory. Could have been explained with examples. Difficult to reemember and grasp
By Keith Domerese on 7/7/2023
Good balance between course content and application. It also includes high-level evaluation of knowledge retention. As a new person to the concepts, the exercise at the course's end was a bit over my head with statistics.
