Our take
Based on the ratings of 3,448 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in January 2020. No course pays to be reviewed.
A free, eight hour introduction to data science that covers what the field is, how AI, machine learning and deep learning differ, and how to load, analyse and visualise data in both Python and R. It's one section of 14 lectures, with no quizzes, no exercises and no certificate. About 145,000 people have enrolled and 3,448 have left a rating, which averages 4.1. The people who like it are true beginners who want the vocabulary and a first look at pandas, matplotlib and R before committing to a paid course. The title promises far more than that, and two of the three-star reviews say so.
Reviewers say Srinivas Reddy explains things simply and the mix of theory and practical examples lands well for newcomers. The complaints are specific and repeated across the low-star reviews. Several lectures are duplicates under different names, the matplotlib material shows up three times, and one unit is just an earlier one again. Audio drops out for long stretches, including a silent gap of around 14 minutes in the pandas lesson. A CSV file used in one lesson isn't provided. Non-native English speakers find the accent hard going, and there are no captions to help. The videos appear to be recordings from a classroom training, ads included.
It hasn't been touched since January 2020, so expect older library versions. It costs nothing, and that is the honest case for it: a low-stakes way to find out whether data science interests you before paying for something structured. Beside the Excel and Power BI courses in this list it's the only one that teaches Python and R, but it teaches them at a survey level only. If you want working skills, treat this as a preview and budget for a proper course afterwards.
Pros
- Free, and covers both Python and R so beginners can see the two languages side by side
- Beginners say the explanations are simple and well paced for a first exposure to the field
- Around 8 hours of video, 145,000 students and a 4.1 average from 3,448 ratings
- Includes a plain-language breakdown of AI versus machine learning versus deep learning
Cons
- Several lectures are duplicates under different names; one unit is simply an earlier one repeated
- Audio drops out for long stretches, including a silent gap in the pandas lesson, and a CSV file is missing
- Not updated since January 2020, no captions, and the accent is hard for non-native English listeners
Quality of teaching overall seems good, however there are some major issues with the course. Audio is not present for a large portion of some video lessons and some lessons are repeated later on in the course under a different name.
Listed as all levels, but it's strictly introductory; anyone with basic pandas or R experience will find little new here.

As a beginner, I found this course extremely helpful. The explanations were simple, well-paced, and easy to understand. The combination of theory and practical examples made learning enjoyable. Definitely worth taking if you are starting your journey in Data Science.

This guy uploaded a video recording that was taught in his training institute. The video includes some commercial advertising too. When it comes to his teaching skills, he is best suited for typical Ameerpet training. His English is pathetic. He uses the word "The" infront of everything. His teaching is not suitable for international audience.

Absolutely a very informative course. I'm new to this career field, but this course laid a very strong foundation. I will need to review again to increase my understanding of all the subjects that were mentioned.

Looking at the course title one thinks everything about data science, ML (Python and R programming) is covered. But course consists only the introduction level knowledge about it. Good for people who knows nothing about data science & ML

The course was indeed interesting and would like to further learn it when i get a chance

Good Instructor, however the course is just basis of everything could have added more content. The quality of stuff added is very good and every beginner should take this for introduction to data science and ML. But you would definitely need a detailed course or the paid version of this course for mastering the skill.
