Taking this course in Retail Management has been a valuable learning experience for me. It helped me understand how retail stores actually operate beyond just sales, including store layout, customer behavior, inventory management, and visual merchandising. Through the exercises, I realized how small changes in display, product placement, and store cleanliness can directly impact customer experience and sales performance. It also improved my thinking towards managing stores in a more structured and customer-focused way.

As an overview of retail management, it was extensive and thorough; enough material to give anyone a step in the right direction of various activities relating to retain management... perhaps one of the best overall examples available here on udemy, and a course I would easily recommend to someone who has little education or experience in retail operations but an interested in retail management operations as a whole.
By Aarti Kanojia on 6/29/2025
The course was well-structured and covered a broad range of topics essential to modern retail, including customer service, visual merchandising, inventory management, retail operations, sales techniques, and e-commerce trends. The learning materials provided (videos, readings, and case studies) were informative and easy to follow. Real-world examples and practical scenarios helped bridge the gap between theory and practice. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to enter or grow in the retail sector. Thank You.

I’m 14 years experienced in Retail and taking this course to stay abreast of any new concepts and to polish my knowledge. This is simple, well explained, has text to read (preferred in some cases) and so far it has been both, engaging and informative. Should have frequent quizzes though, and some content lacks proper relevance/ prior explaination.

This course is just right for those who have worked in the retail and are promoted to a managerial position, with clear and concise lessons and yet detailed covering a wide aspect of retail management. Thanks

I think this could be more up to date exmapled and maybe with opinions from people that work in the busines. because it was good but at the same time it is easy to search for the same information by myself.

No humans faces explaining. Some chapters are only readings. And it seems that there is 2 different voices as a teachers. Not totally focused 100% on retail. The course covers different topics around retail business like Design, CRM, Business Model

I've been working in retail a very long time and this course taught this old dog some new tricks. I found it was very helpful in explaining somethings I had no prior knowledge of and gave me an excellent refresher on things I already knew :)

This course is worth x20 of the investment. It is a diligent, very diligent work put together to create a comprehensive training on retail, business acumen, strategy etc. It is the richest course I have seen here on the subject. I have recommended it for my company to buy for all managers and assistant managers.

A pretty good general overview of the retail industry, I would say. It goes over more theoretical concepts than I thought it would while touching upon some interesting new concepts about ecommerce that I haven't ever considered before. However, I think that the audio and caption quality for some of the course's early videos could be improved upon. It would also be helpful if the course's instructors were to consider updating the course with some optional, but practical training exercises and learning resources for both the brick-and-mortar and the ecommerce business models that the students could then customize and personalize depending what their needs and the goals of their retail businesses are.
