What is the DP-100?
The DP-100 is a certification exam offered by Microsoft, that enables you to receive the Azure Data Scientist Associate certification. The exam covers how to design, build, and deploy a Machine Learning solution using Azure Machine Learning. The certification enables you to proves to employers and clients that you can build and operationalize Machine Learning and Data Science solutions and understand the core capabilities of the Azure Machine Learning. The exam format varies, but is most often 40-60 questions within about 2 hours. DP-100 is also referred to as DP 100 or DP100.
What is this course all about?
The purpose of this course is to prepare you for the DP 100 Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure exam, so that you can pass it on the first try. It offers you dedicated video lectures, walk through demos, real-life applications, and practice exams to maximize your chances of success. This course covers 100% of the 62 learning objectives in Microsoft's curriculum, and trains you to receive the certification on the first try.
What does the DP-100 cover?
The DP-100 covers how to use Azure Machine Learning to design and implement a Data Science and Machine Learning solution. Specifically, it covers how to design and prepare a Machine Learning solution, how to explore data and train models, how to prepare a model for deployment, and how to deploy and retrain a model. The curriculum covers everything about Azure Machine Learning Studio, in both the designer (no-code) workflow, the Automated ML workflow, and the coding (Python SDK, Notebooks) workflow.
What are the prerequisites of taking the DP-100?
Candidates should have subject matter expertise in applying data science and ML to implement and run ML workloads.
What is Azure Machine Learning?
Azure Machine Learning (or Azure ML for short) is a service from Microsoft to create, validate, and deploy Machine Learning and Data Science solutions. It covers everything you would need, from data preparation, to model training and validation, to endpoint model management, and monitoring / model management. It makes it easier for anyone to deploy Data Science and Machine Learning solutions, especially if you are not familiar with Data Science algorithms, container management, compute monitoring, etc. - it does that all for you. Azure Machine Learning lets Data Scientists focus on what matters most, and automates the rest. It gives the power of Data Science and Machine Learning to anyone.
Why is Azure Machine Learning so important?
Azure Machine Learning is Microsoft’s way to democratize Machine Learning and Data Science to the everyday user.

I advise F500 companies on how to build intelligent AI-driven solutions, tools, and agents to create impact and improve their productivity, and how organizations can train and empower their employees on how to use AI.
I teach online courses on how to build AI agents and automations for work, how to use AI agentic systems and tools to be more efficient, as well as other Gen AI topics, and have taught more than 500K students while facilitating technical programs at businesses and governmental organizations.
I also run The Intelligent Worker, a platform for teaching working professionals how to be more productive with Gen AI, no-code, automation, and other technologies, with courses and a free newsletter. I'm a speaker on Gen AI to many large organizations, and have written 2 technical books on AI Agents. I believe that absolutely anyone can now create powerful and intelligent agentic systems to improve their productivity and get time back in the day.
I live in Toronto, Canada and I enjoy building random AI apps and playing tennis in my free time.

It is useful so far, but not too many details about various ML concepts are given. Mostly this is a brute force "DO IT" learning path, and it can benefit from slides, charts and descriptions of various ML concepts.

This is an excellent course and the instructor does a fantastic job. Given how quickly technology evolves, especially in the AI and machine learning space, I can only imagine how challenging it must be to keep course material current. Tools, interfaces, and resources change constantly. Even so, the core concepts taught here are solid, and that’s what really matters. The lessons are clear, well-structured, and explained thoroughly. Even if you are a beginner like me, if you follow along and complete the exercises, it’s very possible to work through the material in a couple of weeks with some dedication. The instructor is also very passionate about teaching and it shows. Thank you for putting together such a helpful and valuable resource. Awesome course - Highly recommended!!

i am still un able to relate with the course path. for example design and prepare machine learning solution will have 20-25% with first high level learning path being design a machine learning solution. not sure how all this is related to the path

I'm hesitant to giving more than 3.5 because this is not the exhaustive or in‑depth coverage I expected. Taking this course, a learner does get some hands on in Azure ML but, I feel, it falls short of honing the concepts of experimenting

A great no-nonsense course. Well-paced, concise, and comprehensive. The exam has since been updated to use Azure AI Hub and other things, so hopefully more can be added to this course eventually to cover those new sections, but Azure ML Studio, etc. is still 2/3 of the exam, and the content in this course covers it exceptionally well

Great at explaining every concept and every step! I am not sure how relevant this course will be to the DP-100 Exam, but heh, he explains every well, and so, easy to follow!

Henry is very clean in his explaination, he covered probably 95% of the topics that I saw in the DP-100 official practice exams on the microsoft learn website which I believe is really high.. Really good course!!

For anyone wondering which DP-100 course to take, please see below. I started with the two DP-100 courses that are over 20 minutes long. I bailed on the first one because I was frustrated with the presentation. I then settled on the one taught by Jitesh. I was also disappointed by that course but was happy with the significant scripting examples that were given. Unfortunately he bailed on the support and many scripts no longer worked. As for this course, here are my pros and cons. Pros: - The instructor generally speaks clearly and was very pleasant and enthusiastic in his delivery. - Unlike the other course, this instructor slowly walks you through a logical progression of all of the main tasks. I never felt like I did not know why we doing something. - Excellent presentation during the early chapters in the course (visuals, charts, etc). Cons - While the instructor stated early in the course that for each hour of video he has to spend several hours of preparation, this did not feel true. The course is very rough around the edges. At different times he used code or techniques that had already been deprecated and he had to re-do them using a different approach. While this was at times interesting because we saw him debug, many other times it was completely frustrating as I had to re-do my notes and code. - No code made available for download. The good news is that we re-used code in many place. Still, I spent a fair amount of time finding typos. - The instructor had not answered any questions for a while, so I assume that he stopped supporting it. That said, there seemed to be fewer issues with this course than the other one. - Because the instructor did not use a script and was doing much of the presentation off-the-cuff, the explanations were often long and drawn-out as he repackaged them in different ways. Sure, better too much than too little - it would have been nice to get clear-cut explanations. Too wordy at times. - After the introductory chapters , there were no visual aids. It would have been nice to sprinkle them in every now and then when demonstrating concepts rather than only talking through them. - The instructor apparently didn't know that he can hit a pause button while waiting for processing to finish. I think a good drinking game could have been made up for all of the times that we watched him watch his environment while waiting for a job to finish. Minor complaint, of course. - No content on Databricks. I don't know if this matters or not - the other course had it. The concepts are very similar with everything else so it wouldn't be that hard to pick it up separately.
