The instructor covered the topics in detail with practical sessions. The training was explained in such a way it can easily be understood. One recommendation is it would be great if scenario based learnings are also included like real time examples, similar to the queries which were part of the final quiz exams.

Some of the topics from the DP-420 exam are covered well, but some of them are not mentioned at all, which is a pity. Also some lessons from this course are unreasonably long, does not contain much useful information and can be significantly shortened. From DP-420 examp perspective this course is not bad, but far from perfect.

All the points and options available in the cosmos DB explained in detail with examples that helps to do the hands on along with the trainer.

I would expect more details about the DB instead of SQL queries to the DB. This is not supposed to be a SQL course. But how does PostgreSQL or other flavors of Cosmos behave? Specifically when it comes to regional replication. A deep dive into consistency would not harm and more practical examples on how to best partition. Meaning, more work with the DB and its features and not SQL examples on a more beginner level.

Ok coverage of DP-420 as of 2024-Dec. There are new features that are not covered. It's the only Udemy course available. It also doesn't cover integrating other services like IoT Hub, Spark, or Kafka. You'll probably need other courses like MS Learn and LinkedIn to pass the exam.
