The CofE currently has an initiative called Everyday Faith. Essentially, the idea is on Sundays we gather for worship but Mon to Sat we are scattered at work, caring, in education etc but we are still worshipping. We are Christians 24/7 and our interactions when scattered are vital in bringing about the kingdom. This course is very useful to understand that initiative in a biblical sense.

Yes it was a good match. The course ties up the loose ends one sometimes have about how to live as a disciple of Jesus in the Church and the wider community. Although one knows these things from Bible study, one sometimes fails to live accordingly. The most important part is that whatever we do in the here and now, has relevance in the new creation. Once one realises that, doing good becomes second nature, i.e. nothing is wasted.

Simple and beautiful! This is a sobering reminder for all serious followers of Christ, because as Christians we can be so 'heavenly bound and no earthly good'. As Dr. Wright explained, being citizens of heaven means we are agents of God's transforming power in this world by our faith in Christ working through our love in action. Thanks for this free course!

I found this course to be profound and practical, as are all of Prof. Wright's teachings. I believe this is a much needed subject for the western church, where the role of being a Christian has largely become either that of a "spectator", merely attending church or that of a professional "participator" entertaining those who have come to spectate. Sadly, Christianity has for the most part, lost its influence and relevance within the culture. May all of us who say we are Christ followers, truly repent and begin living as faithful, Spirit-led agents of the true King, Jesus Christ, building for His Kingdom as we await the New Heavens and Earth.

I liked the way that the text was being broken down verse by verse so that it was easy to understand the flow of the passage and the key points that Biblical authors wanted to empahsise. Prof. Wright also does a great job in explaining the contexts and how it applies to us today.

A brief course, but on the important topic of faith and work, or faith working itself out in the church and the believer to the watching world. I especially appreciate the emphasis on thinking through our faith, and giving loving care to those in need, while also taking care of one's family.

I found this course quite inspiring at a time when I am struggling to find meaning in my working life. To have the bible explained by such an expert was a privialege. I wish there were more real life examples of the principles.

This teaching has helped me see more clearly that my work is not merely a means to an end , but a specific task gifted to me by God. I can make everything count if I'm doing it for Him and if I'm doing it to lovingly care for the people I work for and the people I work with. There is no wasted energy when things are done for Christ's sake.

N. T. Wright focused on key teachings from the apostle Paul, as relevant today as they were in his times, to provide clear interpretations of what it means to be a Christian. Dr. Wright succinct yet passionate lectures throughout "Faith Working Through Love" are packed with wisdom that applies to all followers and communities of Christ seeking to deepen the expression of their faith as mature believers. The Practical Exercises included with each session of the course provide excellent questions for further reflection and application of the biblical teaching that Dr. Wright provided.
