Final Cut Pro X – Master Class (Udemy.com)

This was a useful course and helped my understanding of FCPX. Drew clearly knows his subject and the course is well organised and comprehensive. However, this is the 4th FCPX course I've taken. My approach is to run through a number of courses and absorb extra knowledge from each one. If this had been my first course I think I would have struggled with it. Drew imparts a lot of information. He starts off well. But he assumes at each stage that if he has explained something once he doesn't need to remind us of it or repeat it. As the course progresses he rattles through the information more quickly. As it was my 4th course I managed to keep up OK. Otherwise, I might have struggled.

I loved this course. The course starts out by walking you through the steps and layout. After you get down the basics, you will follow the script and continue on your own with the information you learned up to that point. This is a great way to learn, as you don’t follow the instructor step by step, you progress on your own. Later you will go back and follow for adding finishing touches to the project. I also liked the fact you had raw clips completely unedited, so you can choose the best version for your project. All in all a great course and I learned a lot. I am/was a FCP newbie, but feel I have a solid understanding after taking this course.

An in-depth approach at learning the ins and outs of Final Cut Pro, but dated. The instructor illustrates alternatives ways in which you can approach a task based upon your workflow. He may meet with you one time to discuss how to maximize all of the old outdated workflows.

Drew has obviously put a lot of thought into this course and the results are fantastic. I came in as a raw beginner and now have a good feel for all the basics. I can't imagine learning such a deep editing app without getting in and doing some practical hands on work and the supplied resources for putting together a short film, Dale's Date, was an amazing help. I couldn't be more satisfied.

I had been using FCP for a few months before taking this course. I had learned how to do most of the things covered in this course by using Youtube. However, learning all the shortcut keys from this course made it money well spent. If I would have found this course when I first got FCP it would have cut my learning speed 10 fold. Great course for learning the layout of FCP!

I really enjoyed the course but I would've liked to see you working on more different types of videos and showing more scenarios in the video editing world. But overall he is legit and that course is not a scam like some others on the platform!!

This course was everything I looked for! The teacher explained everything correct and gives all the information which is needed! I have no complaints or whatsoever. The only thing I would have liked to see was a bit more of information on the color correction and grading section. But still it was enough to go experiment on my own projects. Thankyou very much!

This course is a perfect start to finish guide on using FCPX. I feel very confident with the program after taking this class. The instructor is FANTASTIC. the pace is spot on. Deep explanations of concepts and loads of practical practice material to test out your new skills. Only con is I wish I found this sooner. EXTREMELY satisfied with this class. It exceeded my expectations!

I am beyond impressed. I work in multiple industries, music,dance, service industry, barber/cosmetology. I have been a dance instructor for many years now, well over a decade. I can appreciate great instruction. I have always just fumbled my way through FCPX, but i decided, i wanted to step things up a notch and really dive into the film and editing world. I'm really glad i pulled the trigger on taking this course taught by Andrew. this has for sure set me on the path i wanted. Thank you! Highly recommended!

The day I bought this class, I learned what I needed to know, Shift Z, my time line was running away from me. No more! Also, I love the fact that he has a script. It was like this is how they do it in for real movies. I loved the script, the girl turned out to be a guy. I am learning a real skill. Awesome teacher.(Now the only critique, I use to be a peace officer and I am female. Why did he say poor guy when the girl who was really I guy kept talking about her dog. Men over talk too. Sports, their boats. etc)But class went into details. Great!
