Professional Child Psychology Diploma Course (Udemy.com)

This course is very important to me as I have completed my Master’s degree in Child Care and Protection. I am passionate about working in child care and protection projects especially on child abuse which is an alarming problem in many African countries. The course is helping me to better understand child psychology which was not fully covered in my Master’s degree programme. It is true that each child is unique and different and many parents do not understand this which can sometimes contribute to child abuse. Furthermore, gender-based violence and domestic violence are widespread and serious challenges in South African communities where I live as well as in other African countries. Children are often the most affected emotionally, psychologically and sometimes physically by these forms of violence. Therefore, to implement child care and protection effectively, it is essential to have an understanding of child psychology, child development and attachment. So far, module one and module two have been relevant and I will continue to read the manual and make notes after listening to Dr Karen E. Wells (wonderful Instructor).

Yes It is match for me. Seeing and learning about some special areas of attention in child psychology are attractive to me. Hence, deepening and shaping my career path towards helping children and parents appreciate and support children in their development.

Well, I love how this course teaches about kid's behavioural acts and it puts me at ease to know that I will be able to understand my own children and be able to guide them through and deal with their issues professional and just as a mom therefore I'm happy with this course. I will be able to help my family as well with their children. I LOVE IT. It deserves all the stars.

Very useful and detailed information provided in all the modules. I like the fact that there is a self assessment after every module and no timeframe to submit the work on two cases. Also there is Lifetime access to PDF file which I can always go back to

Pdf study material is good. But the sound is very less if in speaker. If you use headphones then it's good Little bit boring. It could be better. Couldn't able to submit my assignment to get the certificate from her, as written in the certification part. There is no option for message. Very disappointed

I feel like there was a wasted opportunity with the videos. More in-depth information and examples could have been included. Also, the time for the course only looks at the minutes for the videos and does not take into account the reading time for the manual. This leaves you with an embarrassing 44min on your certificate. The instructor could have been more engaging.

I love Dr Karen Wells courses as they are interesting, and have such a simple model to follow, but with informative and key knowledge, to be competent in the subject. There are manuals to follow along with the videos which really supports the learning. I have already bought several more KEW courses and can't wait to start my next one!

Basic course content interesting and I enjoyed the learning, although not huge depth - more a taster to see if you are interested in the subject area rather than solid CPD Karen'. s communication style is good and accessible.
Technical issues frustrating but was able to sort them eventually.
On completing course, issued with a certificate for "44 mins" of course, but no acknowledgment for hours spent on case studies or exam questions. Also received no feedback on either case studies or exam questions. So overall good and less good aspects.
