Getting started with houdini (entry level course) (Udemy.com)

I’ve completed around 50 sessions so far. While the course gives a general overview of Houdini, I feel it focuses a lot on details that aren’t very relevant to my personal goals. At this point, it doesn’t feel sufficient to reach a professional level, but more like an introduction to how Houdini works in general. This might still be useful for beginners, but it didn’t fully match my expectations.

One of the best courses for starting Houdini properly. Yes the beginning is not flashy HOWEVER the concepts learned in this course makes ALL the other courses I've taken on Udemy much easier to understand what the hell they are doing. Projects so far are nice concepts bundled together to be deliver in a way that digestible. Houdini is amazing but by god is it a monster software to learn. This course will get you going. He has other courses that go into VEX, VOP, FLIP and Particles which are more expansive then the section of this course. I simply purchased those courses and way i recommend doing it is going through let say the VEX section then hope over to the VEX course to get further deep dive into it. Granted this 100% standalone course Im simply explaining my methods of learning.

While many other courses skip over the detailed concepts and focus on building something. this course really dives deep into the concepts and details of accessing the tool. It never skips over anything. I think this is a must-watch course for anyone who is new to Houdini.

I bought a very expensive online course to learn Houdini. I certainly learned quite a bit, but that course left out some fundamental building blocks. This course is great. It's filling in so many blanks I'd been dealing with up to this point. I have to admit, I initially didn't want to get the course because I was concerned about the teacher's accent. His accent is not a problem and he speaks very clearly. I have no problem understanding him, so please don't let his accent put you off from his course. EDIT: I'm even further in the course now and I wish I could rate it six stars. I've asked a few questions when I got stuck and Alex answered immediately. I just wish I found this course before I spent $400 on another course. I've also purchased the rest of Alex's courses because I know he's going to teach me a lot.

I wish this type of tutorial existed 10 years ago. Where was Alex 10 years ago to create houdinii course. This tutorial is Amazing. I want to go back to 10 years and become young and learn houdini. Alex created houdini course too late.

Initially, I had doubts about the quality of this tutorial. However, after investing at least 15 minutes into it, I came to the realization that it's perfectly structured and organized, also arguably the most comprehensive Houdini tutorial . I highly recommend purchasing this course without hesitation.

This Houdini course is especially for people who want to learn Houdini in an artistically friendly way. It's the best course where you'll learn all about the most important simulation types. The best thing is that you create very cool projects at the end of the simulation topics. The instructor explains Houdini in a very calm and clear way. He has the ability to make topics that you might think are hard to understand accessible. For example, the RBD(water tank breakage ), for me, the highlight of the course; I loved it. Personally, I hope the instructor updates or creates another Houdini course I would definitely be happy.

Good explanations and takes the time to explain and goes over some concepts several times. Repetition is good for me and others who are just starting. Kudos!

Very detailed and easy to follow compared to other Houdini tutorials. I am very happy learning from this amazing instructor and I hope he gives us more courses in the future. 5/5 Stars. Two Thumbs up. Awesome course plenty of new tips and tricks to learn here.

I loved the course, I think it helped me to lose the fear of houdini. I'm looking forward to the next courses that you announce and I'll start with the other 2 that you Alex already launched. I would love to see more in depth to create oceans and see how you can be creative beyond water, pyro, vellum with this huge tool. Recommended, it is an incredible introduction
