Manish Narayan's course builds one layered .NET Core MVC app over 64 lectures and about 4 hours. It walks through the presentation, domain, data and application layers, then adds inversion of control, CQRS with MediatR and AutoMapper. More than 12,000 students have enrolled. It is labeled for all levels, but the requirements list Visual Studio, SQL Server and a basic technical background, so it suits someone comfortable in Visual Studio who wants to see how the pieces fit together.
Most of the 2,858 ratings are four or five stars. Reviewers praise the step-by-step teaching and the way the app is built first without the API, then with it. The complaints are consistent, though. The last update was September 2019 and the course uses .NET Core 2, so one reviewer spent more time fixing Visual Studio 2022 and MediatR 12 problems than learning. Others want slides or diagrams explaining why each project exists, and a few call the number of folders and projects overkill. One says the instructor rarely answers questions.
The CQRS section is the biggest part, at 77 minutes, but one reviewer says commands are left unfinished and no queries get implemented. Others miss caching, pagination and a repository pattern. Another reader on .NET 7 and Visual Studio 2022 reported few changes were needed, so the age is manageable. Our take: a fair, short first pass at the pattern for people who can handle some version drift. If you want the reasoning behind the design, look elsewhere.

This was my first course in Clean Architecture. I used .NET 7 with Visual Studio 2022, and I was impressed with how few changes were required to build and run per the original course.
Labeled all levels, but it expects Visual Studio, SQL Server and a basic technical background, so true beginners may struggle.

The course is really good; it provides a solid foundation for learning clean architecture. However, it is mentioned in different moments, the event and notification implementation, and it seems this is missing in the current course.

I really liked how the architecture was separated and decoupled, although I do not recommend the use of MediatR as it internally uses a ServiceLocator (which is an anti-pattern, although this is arguable). I learned a lot about architecture and also Automapper. I highly recommend this course to all Net Core developers.

The course has a motive and outline. When come to explain into detail how and why certain things are created. Such as classes and viewmodels, wish the instructor can really explains why he creates in a clear way. I understand the general concept. But struggle to understand why the source coding in detail. I need to really understand the code.

The solution diagram in video 1 illustrates folders (namespaces) that scream "dependency magnets." Instead of having namespaces defined by responsibility, they are defined by file types (e.g., Interfaces, POCOs, etc.). I will keep watching with hope that this is cleaned up. But that slide contradicts what is taught in Robert Martin's book, Clean Architecture. See chapter on "Screaming Architecture."
Update: While this course is a decent introduction to .NET Development, Layered Architecture, MVC, "Coding to an Interface", and Dependency Injection; it's still not really a lesson on Clean Architecture. (I've bumped this up from one to two stars.)
