Rest Api's in Asp.Net Core and C# 2025 Edition (Udemy.com)

In Section 3: #16 showing the implementation of delete api, the id is set to index to remove the item from collection ( song.RemoveAt(id) ), this is wrong. Id of an item and its index are not necessarily the same, they are coincidentally same in this case and hence it is working. Suggested solution is to search the item by it's Id and then remove it from songs collection e.g. songa.Remove(songs.Where(o=> o.Id == id).First()). Of course I have skipped the error/null checking here for simplicity.

Got the overall idea of how REST APIS are implemented in ASP, also learnt about structure to follow for coding web APIs. Should have covered more topics like authentication and authorization of users with some tokens..., sessions..., cookies...., etc. Thank you for the course.

One of the best online courses I have ever taken. The lecturer teaches very calmly, slowly, and understandable. I improved my REST Architecture knowledge. Also, there is a section with a very good explanation of how to deploy a project on Azure. I highly recommend this course to beginners and intermediate programmers who need to improve their knowledge of REST API.

Good course, which shows how to start and build a free accessible API. I think it would be nice and relevant to show how to implement authentication at least basic auth or better jwt. Would be nice if that could be recorded and integrated in the course as well.

I liked this course. Short and sweet introduction to Restful API with touching many important areas to get one going and understand workflows and terms of deploying relational db on Azure and use it from REST api. I admit I had a little troubles to understand at the beginning, but it's not really so bad. What;s more important is, that informations in this course are served in concise, easily understandable and practical way.

UPDATE for 2021 edition. I changed my 3 star rating to 5 stars because of the 2021 course. I highly recommend this course to anyone that needs to learn what is listed in the course description. The course material is clearly explained and has good examples. The only thing missing with the new material is versioning, it is available in the old material though (section 25: versioning). Original review (3 stars), which now starts at Section 17: Introduction The course can be worth taking to get an overview of the basics. There are no other courses specifically for learning REST in .NET CORE so it is this or a different website. I had a few issues. The instructor frequently rushes and at times the video speed is obviously faster than normal. It would have been nice if he made the course 30 minutes longer. I had to use Google to find answers on why my solution didn't build when his did. A few times I noticed code was added that he didn't discuss, nothing major but it was annoying. Other times the video cuts go from no code to having code without mentioning it. He also has an accent that can be hard to understand when he talks too fast. The transcript is not helpful in these cases, it was not updated by a person so it understands the instructor less than I do. Here are 2 examples: 1. Well it was the task of back in December and he really to take it off the medications. 2. In addition Well data in that dark that means add extra meaning to the data by any edible decks.
