Introduction to Nuke VFX Compositing: The Essentials - NK101 (Udemy.com)

Alex's course is great for people who are new in the industry. I was already familiar with most of the stuff he was teaching but still helped to polish my knowledge. I also think he is a good presenter and I already purchased his other tutorials. Hopefully, he will continue doing more tutorials! Thanks Alex:)

Perfect lecture!

Very good course. Worth working through to the end when it comes together in a work flow. Reassuring to know that skills learnt in other software are quite transferable. Well worth the money.

This is a great class if you are a complete newb(like myself) and are starting from scratch. I have dabbled in other compositing and editing programs so I had some familiarity with the ideas but this really helped with this specific program. I watched some other tutorials and other classes and they assumed you had some basic knowledge of Nuke which is fine but this class is what you want to take if you are completely new. Well organized and updated. Thank you.

FYI I have 7 videos left to finish the whole course.
I really wish I can put 4-5 stars but I decided to put 2 stars. Here is why:
Let's start with the positives first:
1- The instructor is knowledgable and it can show in his videos.
2- In his examples, he uses simple examples to convey the concept.
The poor things:
1- The teaching style he decided to take doesn't work well in my opinion. He basically gives you the final project and show you each node function and what it does. This is a poor way to teach. This is my opinion and maybe some people prefer this style. I think it would have been an outstanding course if after each theory concept, there is a mini project and exercise of us to do from scratch rather than just looking at the final project and copying nodes and recreating it again. This is the main reason why I gave the course a poor rating.
2- Sound. As mentioned by others. That being said, the instructor acknowledge that and it is obvious he fixed the sound in his subsequent courses. You could still hear everything he says.
3- In the course description he stated that after finishing this course you will be able to have a Jr compositing role. Now, I am sure he would know better since he works in the industry but I really doubt that this is the case after finishing this course ESPECIALLY there are no exercises or projects for the students to do from scratch. Again, I don't know that for sure since I have not worked in the industry before.
I think I might re do the course again and maybe try to create my own mini projects and see if it helps. If it does, I will come back and change my rating.

This course is an amazing course!
Alexander Hanneman is not only an amazing professional digital compositor, but also a good teacher and presenter. I sincerely appreciate the effort, time and organization spent creating the classes, with different short videos and the point of focus of each one, all supported by excellent exercise to practise with, short and concise quiz to learn after each block with short explanations of why is correct that answer.
I want to say thank you for creating such an amazing and helpful content that gives a new perspective and available opportunities.

Good Course, if you are moving from After Effects to Nuke its recommended, I think I'm disappointed with the course is the Narrator is moving from mac to windows sometimes the audio is going very noisy. and also there are many more background sounds than the narrator's voice, some of the time video ending without a proper ending.

Very helpful course for beginners who want to learn how to composite in NUKE. You can tell Alexander has a lot of knowledge and can also explain everything really well.
