Irlon Terblanche

I help business professionals understand AI and make informed decisions about where and how to use it.

I am Irlon Terblanche, CEO at SioTech, Executive Head of Operations, Data, AI and Sales at Sanlam, a management consultant and a technologist. My background combines an Electromechanical Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town and an MBA with executive experience in banking, investments and insurance. I also work hands-on with software development, machine learning and cybersecurity.

My teaching connects technical concepts with business questions: Which problems are worth solving? What data and capabilities are needed? Where should human judgement remain? How can we measure whether an approach is useful?

My courses cover AI and machine learning foundations, business strategy, marketing, customer service, fintech and related professional skills. I focus on clear explanations that help learners discuss technology confidently and apply what they learn to their work.
