Course Description
ISO 21502 is the international standard for project management — a vendor-neutral framework of concepts and practices that applies to any project, in any industry, of any size. Unlike proprietary certification frameworks such as PMP/PMBOK or PRINCE2, ISO 21502 distils project management into globally agreed good practice: how a project is initiated, planned, directed, controlled and closed to deliver its intended outcomes.
From implementing new software to running a construction project or coordinating a marketing campaign, projects need people who understand these concepts and can apply them. This course teaches project management through the lens of ISO 21502 — making it equally useful as your first structured project management training or as a standards-based complement to a PMP or PRINCE2 background.
Course structure
The course follows the structure of ISO 21502, in five sections:
Introduction — what project management is, its history, the ISO 21500 series of standards on project, programme and portfolio management, and the structure and purpose of ISO 21502
Project management concepts (Clause 4) — the project context and its impact on success, project constraints, project governance, the project life cycle, and the roles in a project organization
Prerequisites for formalizing project management — the conditions needed to put project management into practice and align it with the organization's processes and systems
Integrated project management practices — the practices at the centre of every project: project initiation, oversight, control and closure, presented in relation to the roles in the project organization
Management practices for a project — the largest section of the course, covering the 17 practices of ISO 21502, including scope management, schedule management, cost management, risk management, change control, quality management, resource management, stakeholder engagement and reporting
A final video covers project management certification paths for both individuals and organizations.

Who am I?
I’ve been working in the field of standards, auditing, and certification since the early 2000s. Over the years, I’ve contributed to hundreds of projects across various industries and disciplines. Today, I work with RIGCERT, an accredited certification body based in Europe.
What do I do?
I translate the knowledge and best practices from international standards and recognized compliance frameworks into clear, practical language — to help individuals and organizations improve.
How do I teach?
I design and record every course myself. You will be learning from a human instructor with real-world auditing experience — not from AI-generated content. Since launching my first course in 2016, my focus has always been on extracting the core ideas from complex subjects and delivering them in a clear, concise format. I only build and publish courses that I myself would take.
What are my interests?
My work spans quality management, information security, data protection and privacy, artificial intelligence governance, risk management, business continuity, occupational health and safety, environmental management, energy management, compliance, food safety, and others.

Presenter was able to meet my expectations by clearly and completely providing important insights on this guideline. However he should have shown actual documents associated with each clause, if applicable, in order for us to help visualize what really happens or which processes in an organization must be present.

The content was well organized and the sections broken into videos of captivating length that did not drone on. For my brain, the way in which Cristian speaks helps me to remember because of his intonations are different than mine, which allows for more memory cues to the topics. I appreciate his commitment to the material so that I can better improve my work performance. Cheers!

Excellent course, it is easy to understand and it is very well structured in the length of the videos; you advance very quickly.
By Sachlani Sachlani on 7/24/2024
Explanations are too short. I expect more elaboration on contex (relation output, outcome, benefit with strategy objectives) and the logical flow of integrated project managent practices and 17 individual practices. Visual presentation should be improved not just listening the presenter reading the material (that what videos are for). The quiz should be designed to verify the understanding of the subject and 5 questions are not enough.

The course is well-structured and rich in content. The instructor is knowledgeable and presents the material clearly and engagingly. The only criticism I have is that the slides are not fully aligned with the vocal commentary; the instructor explains many concepts that are not represented in the displayed material.

This was an excellent course, with valuable information presented in a clear, organized, and engaging manner. The instructor provided helpful resources for further study and most notably included a copy of the presentation slide deck which I found very useful to accompany the notes I had taken during the course. This is the fourth ISO standards course I have taken with this instructor and I remain very pleased with the knowledge I have gained, which I have been able to immediately apply in my career. Well done, and see you in the next course!

An excellent guide to ensure that a complex project will be successfully implemented in an integrated way.
