Course Description
ISO 26000 is the international standard for social responsibility — the global reference for what corporate social responsibility (CSR) actually means and how any organization, of any size and in any sector, can operate in a socially responsible way and contribute to sustainable development.
As ESG expectations, sustainability reporting and stakeholder pressure reshape how organizations are judged, the need for a structured understanding of social responsibility keeps growing. ISO 26000 provides that structure, and this course walks you through its guidance from start to finish.
What the course covers
Foundations — the concept of social responsibility, its seven principles (accountability, transparency, ethical behaviour, respect for stakeholder interests, respect for the rule of law, respect for international norms of behaviour, and respect for human rights), and the structure and purpose of ISO 26000
The 7 core subjects of social responsibility — the heart of the course. Each core subject and every issue within it is presented with its context and the actions and expectations for a socially responsible organization:
Organizational governance
Human rights
Labour practices
The environment
Fair operating practices
Consumer issues
Community involvement and development
Integration — how to embed social responsibility throughout an organization, review performance and continually improve — plus how recognition works for ISO 26000, for both organizations and professionals
Who this course is for
Sustainability, ESG and CSR professionals building a structured foundation
HR, procurement, communications and operations managers whose roles carry social responsibility expectations
Managers and business owners responding to customer, investor or supply-chain requirements on responsible business conduct
ISO management system professionals (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) broadening into sustainability
Students and career-changers entering the ESG and sustainability field
Enroll and learn how an organization can go beyond legal compliance — and understand human rights, labour practices, environmental responsibility, fair operating practices, consumer issues and community involvement the way the international standard defines them.

Dear Mr. Cristian Vlad Lupa, I would like to share some thoughts about the ESG course I took with you. It was a truly remarkable experience and I am grateful for the quality content and comprehensive approach you brought to this course. What impressed me the most was how you managed to convey the complexity of ESG concepts in a clear and accessible way. The fact that you brought up both theoretical aspects and relevant concrete examples and case studies made the learning engaging and meaningful. Also, the structure of the course was very well thought out. I appreciated that you started with a solid presentation of ESG fundamentals, followed by practical and detailed steps for implementing these principles in different environments and organizations. It was clear that you have put significant effort into ensuring that the course is tailored for a diverse range of participants. The collaboration and interactive discussions within the course made learning dynamic and stimulating. You created an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas and perspectives, and your constant feedback and guidance during these sessions was extremely valuable. What impressed me most was your deep commitment to the subject of ESG and the enthusiasm with which you presented it. You have managed to share not only the theoretical knowledge, but also the passion to make a real change in the world by adopting ESG practices. In conclusion, this course not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them. You created an inspiring and informative learning environment that not only enriched my knowledge of ESG, but also motivated me to further explore and apply these principles in my own field of work. Thank you again for your excellent efforts in making this course so valuable. It was truly an educational experience that changed my perspective and inspired me to act towards a more sustainable and responsible world. Personally, I make efforts through CSR & ESG projects for the community, for companies in the area, institutions, NGOs, pupils, students, attached examples that we do. https://plantamsperanta.ro/ Respectfully, Ionut Coman

Buena opción aunque los recursos son limitados. Debería existir una guía con todo el contenido explicado y no solo una presentación resumen.

Very good introduction to ISO 26000. I also appreciated the quick answer to my question in the Q&A section. Thank you!
By Eyad Barakat on 3/8/2023
First of all thank you. The course is more about reading the ISO standard, only summarizing what is in ISO 26000, doesn't touch on real life examples, challenges, or on how to implement the standard in the real life. The instructor experience is not visible while explaining the standard.

This course was presented in an interesting, yet very accessible way, it showed the core points of ISO 26000 and described those in interesting details. Totally reccommend!

Nice course. Making it simple and breaking down the basics for non-social responsibility practitioners.
By Shweta Sinha on 5/27/2022
The content is well drafted and presented and so is the narration; easy to understand and grasp, neither too fast nor too slow.
By Andries van Tonder on 3/25/2022
Very informative even though it is not very lively. Like training law, it is difficult to make it exciting.
