Course Description
ISO 31000 is the international standard for risk management — the framework and principles used worldwide for enterprise risk management (ERM) in organizations of every type and size. Its companion standard, IEC 31010, provides the toolbox: dozens of risk assessment techniques for identifying, analysing and evaluating risk. This course teaches both.
After completing the lessons you will understand the principles of risk management, the ISO 31000 framework and process, how to select and apply risk assessment techniques, and the options available for risk treatment.
Course structure
Risk management and the ISO 31000 framework — general concepts, the structure of the standard, and how the framework integrates risk management into the organization
The principles of risk management — the eight principles that make risk management effective
Leadership and commitment — the support and involvement of top management in the risk management process
The risk assessment process — risk identification, risk analysis and risk evaluation, and how to select the appropriate technique for each situation
The risk techniques of IEC 31010
The core of the course: the risk assessment techniques of IEC 31010, each explained in an easy-to-understand way with simple examples, including:
Brainstorming, structured and semi-structured interviews, and the Delphi technique
HAZOP (hazard and operability study) and HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points)
Business impact analysis (BIA) and root cause analysis (RCA)
FMEA and FMECA — failure modes, effects (and criticality) analysis

Cause-and-effect analysis and bow tie analysis
Reliability-centred maintenance and Markov analysis
Monte Carlo simulation
The consequence/probability matrix (risk matrix)
Cost–benefit analysis and multi-criteria decision analysis
and others
Risk treatment and beyond

Great lesson for manager review of the ISO 31000 information. I think a little more time could have been spent on the formulas and Risk techniques, but if you are comfortable with what is presented then this will be a good course to refresh and possibly spark an idea or two of what to use in your own life.

gives a quick overview of ISO 31000. Its very applied in that it dwelves into iso 31010 and gives overview of every risk assesment techniques. As such it serves as an overview or dictionary for tq. And i would receomend it as Project manger: Iso knowledge and applied tool overview (very relavant ) Risk Mangeer: Iso and risk assesment tool knowledge. Actual applied risk mangement diciplines (governance, independance, facilitation, risk aggregation ) is higly limited. I suspect it is also the case in the actuel ISO 31000 and not at fault of the instructor. I bring it up however as the corse is named "Risk Manager Training" and i think "Risk manger gerneral Framework knowledge" is more accurate.

This is a good course with lots of information. The presenter uses slide decks and talks to those points. Unfortunately, this style of delivery does not provide the engagement I prefer where there are demonstrations and opportunities to see content in action. Overall, strong content, but with a lot of 'one way' listening.

This course shows a variety of different techniques and where they can be used in real life which is very important, since most of the times people is limited to use just a few og them because of the lack of awareness about the existence of more available options

Great course to understand various Risk Management Techniques under ISO 31000 to decide to deep dive into one or more that's applicable. The trainer used great examples to explain most of the techniques which helped clearing the concepts. Thank you!

The information provided is useful. However, the format could benefit from some modernization, storyboarding in particular and perhaps making it more interactive (some periodic quizzes). The instructor's accent also makes it difficult to follow at times for native english speakers.

Very interesting course. The information was provided in an understandable way, competently structured. The course provides an excellent foundation for deepening the topic of risk management and risk analysis techniques. I am satisfied!

The course is a very good option as an overview of iso31010 in the context of iso31000, as indicated by the speaker. However, I think it would be of interest to include as a guide for the course, the classification shown in figure A.1, where each technique is assigned as the most appropriate in certain stages of the risk assessment (iso 31010: 2019).

As this is my first course in Udemy, it was an amazing experience to attend this course as all the content was very well constructed as well as the instructor is an expert so it further made the course easier to understand. Since this is a basic course which provides the guidelines of risk management, I will further attend the related courses in the near future whenever required in my career ahead.

This course offers a very good overview of all the main techniques used. I think this is the most complete risk course for those wanting to learn more about other options other than the typical tools. Some techniques were rushed and missed good examples, but I still give it 5 stars as it should be seen as a course that sets a very good foundation. Thanks to it I have selected a few techniques I want to study and lean in details.
