Instructor Bio
Kevin Volo is currently an instructional technologist for a State University of New York (SUNY) college in Upstate New York where he helps instructors design and implement their online and hybrid courses.
He is also an active adjunct professor and has been instructing at the college level for more than 20 years, including online and hybrid classes for colleges and on platforms such as Udemy. He teaches a range of courses on topics such as social media, digital photography, graphic design, video editing, and media communications, among others.
He holds a Masters in Information Design and is working on his PhD dissertation in Educational Practice & Theory with a research project exploring the impact of gamification in online learning environments.
Kevin worked as a commercial photographer and graphic designer for over 25 years working in the marketing and advertising industry wherehas worked in both print and web design creating catalogs, web graphics and logos.
Kevin is alsoa freelancecolorist, photographer and graphic designerwhose latest project wascoloristfor the Eisner Award nominated, Meteor Men by Jeff Parker and SandyJarrellfromOniPress. He has worked on several independent titles such as Big Dog Inc's Rex Zombie Killer,Zenoscope's2013 Halloween issue, and Ape Entertainment's Athena Voltaire.
