This course will enable you to work with GIMP imaging software fluidly and create any image that comes to your imagination, as well as giving you the ability to touch up and enhance photos like a professional. Digital drawing, painting, and photography can all be achieved with GIMP.
The fundamental imaging skills taught in this course are also universal concepts used throughout all imaging softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Corel - in such that they all have Layers, Tools, Brushes, and Plug-ins, Scripts, or Macros. Thus if you are a beginner to imaging softwares then you will be gaining competency in "all" softwares by starting with this one GIMP course.
The course takes you through download and installation of the software, environment configuration, all commonly used tools, the menu system, making and installing scripts and plug-ins, and a wide array of tips and tricks for photo manipulation, illustration, and graphic design. A very good demonstration of Gimp by someone who knows it well. For me not quite such a good tutorial ( which I was hoping) because I am blighted with an incredibly slow learning gene. Not so much of a bright star, more like a passing rock. I will check out more of his tutorials however. Cannot pretend I lost the will many times through this course but I persevered, sadly as I write this I feel I have remembered very little. ( probably because my ram is so small)
However well done on putting this course together of a very complicated product.

Man kann dem Dozenten gut zuhren, und man kann leicht nachvollziehen, was im Kurs passiert.
Es stimmt auf jeden Fall, dass dieser Kurs auch fr die Gimp Version 2.10 brauchbar ist. Die Notizen zur aktuellen Version am Anfang des Kurses haben vllig ausgereicht.

Ditch the use of the zoom tool. We can see the menus and dialogs quite clearly and it just wastes time without adding anything to the content.

It's good, but some of what he does just happens with no explanation, like how he got a menu in a box on the left. MIne runs all the way down the left side.
